Door stuck trying to remove

I have taken both bolts out and disconnected the wiring harness, but the door will not lift off the hinge. Help

Did you roll down the windows and fold the mirrors all the way forward?

You might have to put some ass behind it if the doors haven’t been removed before or in awhile. Make sure you have the two front fender protectors on to avoid damage to the paint (very helpful with reinstalling but may come in handy since they seem to be stuck) is it both doors or just the one?

Fender protectors? Never seen these.

I have only tried the passenger front and back. Both are stuck

Just to be safe you did take out the silver bolts that go vertically in each hinge correct? If so then I would use a small pry bar and an assistant. To gently lift at the hinge. The maybe 5” long rubber strips that come in your tool kit to protect the paint should be used on the leading edge of the door at the top and lower body line so you don’t chip the paint. You do have to lift evenly and straight up.

It’s in the bag with the socket set. Two little silicone type protectors that slip on.

If pulling up on the door from the handle and spot on the lower front isn’t working I would take it to the dealership and as them WTF is wrong. Have you ever had the doors off?

They only need to lift like 1" so be careful. If you are lifting super hard and they suddenly get unstuck, they will pop up to high and start hitting things.

I mean the doors do weight like 50lbs but I just took mine off for the first time and was surprised how easy they lifted up.

You do need to go straight up, no angles. GET HELP and have one person just support the outer part of the door, while the strongest person lift straight up directly on the hinge edge.

Windows down, doors unplugged, 2 bolts removed, and doors opened about 45 degrees.

Thanks all for the advice. With the help of a friend I was finally able to get the driver side off. The mount points were rusted. The passenger side came off easily as designed.

Glad you got them off. I'm surprised it was rusted..maybe they forgot to grease that one.
