I have lots of issues with Sync in general - but when it does connect and is working, the audio tends to be clear and Siri (I use Carplay almost exclusively) doesn't seem to have any issues.

Start one of the vehicles. Have someone call you, while on the call adjust the volume. The call has to be active to be adjusted. Same with navigation it has to be saying something to be adjusted.
I can also say - this is true, but on my Bronco, the volume always reverts back to a default of 18, and I always have to turn it up every phone call.

I have the same experience. I’ve had the Bronco about 14 months, and I’ve always had very clear conversations on both sides of the phone even with the top off or back.
What I have noticed is the whole Ford Sync seems to be getting buggier and less reliable. I have to do a hard reset every 3-4 times I’m in the car lately. It will freeze on a backup camera, audio will only play through my phone but controlled through the screen, will get stuck on the startup screen, etc…. Anyone else having issues with the last couple versions of Sync in general?

The Sync system always worked great in my 2020 Ranger . That was a wired connection and I love the wireless feature of the Bronco. My 2023 high pkg works great with my Samsung Z Flip5 and the Flip4 that I previously had. My wife's LG V60 and daughters Galaxy connect fine also.

Funny how some work flawlessly ( I assume most do) yet a few seem to have constant issues .

We own a Maverick, Sport and a Bronco. Also had a different Sport and Maverick. Hands free phone is horrible on all currently owned three. Choppy audio. Music is fine before and after the call. Maverick is wired connection only. Wireless on other 2. And we have 3 different phones. Anyone experience this and able to resolve with any non auto update by dealer?
2023 escape works fine. Also both our broncos do too

Took a road trip as an opportunity to use it more and test. Music is always fine other than the slow connection at times. We did text messages and the voice of text over speakers right at start would be garbled. It would stop if you just start to move volume knob. Volume didn’t make a difference if it would do it or not at the start. And then work fine at times. CarPlay navigation would at times garble just the end of last spoken direction. This was in the Bronco. So nothing figured out at this time.
I’ll try to capture a recording when possible.

Since the last update (6.3.0) - one out of three times I start the Bronco I get no audio via wireless CarPlay. Have to reboot sync to get it to come back - occasionally it requires multiple reboots back to back.

I just dug out a cable - USB C doesn’t work with wired CarPlay for me, and that’s what I had in there for charging. Will have to see if just plugging it in fixes it or what not.

Yes, it's terrible. Ford is aware and they have sent bulletins to all dealers. There is nothing you can do but deal with it until they figure it out.
