The Ford Pass app has never been able to remote start my Bronco. The app looks like it’s thinking and trying but never starts. Not sure if I have something else turned off that I’m missing. The setting in my truck itself is turned on and it works with my key fob, just not the app. Has anyone experienced anything similar and figured it out?

Are you sure it’s linked with your vehicle? Does it show you info on your Bronco, like fuel level and oil llfe?

Does the phone with the app AND where the Bronco is parked have good cellular signal ? Mine will not start from the app if it is in my metal garage with the bay doors closed. Open at least one door and it will start.

It is in my home garage and signal has not been an issue before. Today I did have a door open and no luck.

I would delete the app and download it again.

I’ve had issues lately with app not doing remote start when it always worked before. I discovered I had messages in the app that said remote start was disabled to preserve low battery. Odd, because battery appears fine and gauge says fully charged at 14.8 to 15.1 V. At a loss to figure out if battery setting can be disabled so remote start works…..

This is common. For @FoCoBronc -- your battery is either low on charge or dying, you need to charge it overnight, and if that doesn't work, replace it. (I know your gauge says 14.8-15.1... that's running)

Also not unheard of for Ford's cloud service to have hiccups and Remote stuff not work - sometimes just specific features (like the time all Bronco's were located in Detroit), sometimes the entire App isn't available. Just have to give them time to work this out.

As said above, checking the gauge with the engine running will show good voltage as long as the alternator is good, though 14.8-15.1 is actually on the high side and means the battery is being charged. I would suggest either putting an actual meter on it with the engine off, OR put it in ACC (push button w/o stepping on brake) and see what it says then - good chance it's closer to 12v than the typical 12.6 or so.

Thanks, learned something today. It’s registering 12 in ACC, so I guess it’s either slowly dying or I need to make longer trips for full charging…..

As a general rule of thumb, trips of less than 10-15 minutes don't really replenish what was used to start the vehicle (this is relatively true regardless of vehicle age and electronics). To do any appreciable charging, you would need to drive longer than that.

If you are constantly making lots of 5 minute trips, you're beating up that battery pretty good. If that's all you ever drive, it might be worth it to install a battery tender and plug it in overnight every few nights. It'll get you charged up and extend your battery life.
