It’s funny how people think they can build out a Stroppe for something like $55,000. That ain’t happening. This two door MT Badlands build is already at $70,000 and it doesn’t even have the 2.7 auto.

Congrats on the new Stroppe. Go ahead and remove those rear tabs around the window. Dealer should have done that 8 months ago during the PDI. 🙃

Regarding the quieter ride, your HLE and Stroppe both had/have the painted top. The quieter ride is likely attributed to the new seals still being lubricated. People tend to forget that there is basic maintenance with the gaskets.

The increased MPG is likely a placebo effect. The sample size is too low on your new Stroppe. As you pile on some miles, it will likely regress to the mean. Regardless where it ends up, just drive it with a smile.

The ride will be improved as the HLE only had the yellow Bilsteins whereas the Stroppe has the Fox shocks.

Congrats on the new ride! I haven’t seen one in the wild in my part of town.

Idk I love the Stroppe but I feel like I’d be too much the center of attention everywhere I went. Not my style. Love my gray(cough) Tudor BL keeps me under the radar - maybe literally

When I learned (surprisingly, and frustratingly) that Ford was discontinuing the 2.7L from all 2DRs except the Stroppe, I looked at it hard, but the paint and price of $78K MSRP stopped me. I pretty much cloned it tho, with the engine the only real difference, going with a 2DR BadSas with Hoss 3.0 and the Lux package. My build, after a couple Ford pricing incentives, came in about $15K less than the initial Stroppe sticker. So no, not $55, but maybe $61 and change before fees? But that was Dec 2024 prices—things have seemingly gotten more expensive. So $64-65K seems about right, bigger engine, painted roof, signature detailing.

PS: good news is I’ve got no complaints with the twin scroll 2.3L, it’s got plenty of jump.

Congrats and welcome to the club! Well bought and I am pretty sure you will not regret the purchase. I never figured out what all the fussing was with G6 broncos being noisy inside. Mine is nice and quiet. (measured at 65dB traveling 65 MPH with HVAC and Radio off). And as too the haters of the color scheme. It isnt for everyone and certaainly not for those that dont have a clue why its painted that way. And then the "it is the same as a wildtrack" but more expensive. I doubt any one of them has figured what it cost to paint a vehicle that has 7 different color applications. Two different whites, orange, blue, black paint, black wrap and clear. coat. they are a unique item.

I happened to see a Race Red HE out in Phoenix this past week with some of the tabs still in the windows. I thought about posting a PSA about removing the rear window tabs!

It's amazing to me that so many dealers don't take the PDI seriously. A Stroppe rotting on the lot for 8 months and not a single dealership employee took the initiative to question the tabs.

Yeah, those tabs are just "spacers" while the rear glass adhesive is set. Think of setting tile and the use of spacers for the grout lines. You wouldn't leave the spacers after the tile is set.

They are safe to remove and serve no purpose other than identifying lazy dealerships who pay no attention to their PDI.
