Hi,
2022 CO Black Diamond 2 door. 2.7 auto, mid and tow package
First time posting. Long story short. Additional protection packages added on by dealer. $1500. I was not advised of additional costs and did not check the paperwork thoroughly enough upon leaving dealership. Before I get flamed saying it was my fault, I will concede as stated before I was not careful enough. When the finance person attempted to add a 4k warranty I caught that. I stressed I didn't want any additional addons. We went through the usual stack of forms which is now on tablets. You sign once and hit continue through the forms. I didn't see the costs and assumed the were no addons due to our conversation a few moments earlier.
I don't want to drop names, dealerships etc. at his point. This was done late on a Friday night. I did not catch it until the following day. The dealership was closed when I discovered it. I emailed salesman, finance and manager but need to allow them time to respond and hopefully resolve this.
Now, my question is what if this is not resolved in a way I think is satisfactory?
If I get a survey from ford and am honest in my review, I think the finance process was underhanded to say the least, how is this handled? Does Ford communicate the survey results with the dealer? Am I marked as a disgruntled customer by Ford? Can that affect service and the like down the road?
Beautiful car, cool and fun. The dealer issue weighs on the experience but I'll get over it.
Thanks.
Bob
