I don't mean to suggest it would make up for the price difference but BLIS might have cheaper insurance. Like walking up to the car and having it unlock automatically. Didn't think it would matter at first now I like it. Picked the car up in November in Cleveland Ohio, love the heated seats...
Anyhow the rattle persisted. It became worse on the passenger side. I am convinced it is an issue with the weathstrip, rubber seal whatever you want to call it. I had some vacuum tube laying around and wedged it in behind the rubber seal at the back of the window along the pillar between the...
My rattle was on the drivers door. The bolts were all out on the window track and 1/2 out on the lower bolts. I checked the passenger side bolts. They were all in on the high and 1/2 way on the bottom. I lowered the window and loosened all 4 bolts. I put the bolts all in on top and tightened. I...
You don't need to pull door panels. Pull the black rubber bolt covers. Look at the youtube videos. I started with just the bottom and it was better. I did the track bolts too like the TSB and its good. Check your door/window that doesn't rattle and look at the bolt position.
MSRP will likely include the model year price increases. I had a Bronco on order. Make the story short I wanted different options and couldn't get it done. Found a BD spec'd out with what I would have added. I lost price protection. Ended up paying $4500 more for factory tow and mid package...
Calling a win. With the high bolts all in and low bolts all out what would slap the window previously does not now. Now I can drive over normal without things without slapping. I did get a small slap over a kinda sharp bump over a pothole. I would not normally try that but I was testing. Anyway...
to directly above, I am not sure. I just get an awful slap over bumps with the window 3 to inches down.
What I did to was take the bolt access covers off the passenger door which does not have the window rattle. the track bolts( the ones about half way up the door) were all the way in. the...
Looks like those bolts on the side of the door need adjusted to. Looks likes that's the procedure in the TSB as well. Probably gonna try it I'll post if I do.
For those who have tried to fix this did you adjust the window track bolts on the "side" of the door or just the adjustment screws on the bottom. I moved the bottom screws all the way out. Still have some rattle but better. The screws on the side are already all the way out. Was wondering if...
Back from test. Better yes. Fixed no. Seems like a smaller I guess you can call it range of window opening to happen. I only did the bottom to bolts on the door. For me its seems to be drivers side only. May have to go to dealer at some point so they can do whatever adjustment needs to be done.
