I want to remove the Outbanks fender badge and replace it with the Bronco script badge. Today I made the switch and has no issue on the passenger side.

However, when I removed the fender badge on the driver side (using a little heat) it left an outline of the badge. I thought at first it was just glue residue but it did come off when I used rubbing alcohol to clean it. It also feels pretty solid a not glue like. Worried I had damaged it I stopped what I was doing and replaced the badge for now.

It the outline some sort of clear coat? I just bought it and didn’t get any clear coat add on. Any insight would be appreciated.

Correction! The rubbing alcohol did NOT remove the residue.

It looks like the fender was repaired and just masked off the badge. With heat gun and acetone there should peel off easily and no residue but might need a quick cut polish.

Looks like clear PPF was applied over the badge and then cut off and removed. You’ll have to remove and replace the clear PPF on the fenders.
