I'm quite certain that a vast majority of Broncos sold will never see any serious off-roading, same with Jeeps.

Watched the Hagerty video on the cybertruck. It was interesting!
The drive by wire and new battery tech is most interesting.
The looks and utility are divisive as we all know but the re engineering that went into this is impressive .

bought my Bronco purely for aesthetics and have zero intentions of ever going off-road with it. I've mentioned that several times here before...Badlands with Sasquatch too.

I am going to disagree with you on that first statement. Just because it "stands out" does not make it a good "vehicle." There are plenty of crap modified cars out there. Just because it is "different" does not mean it is adding anything to the zeitgeist nor daily life.

The numbers are cool, and I agree they are awesome, but it just a toy or a short commuter. So as long as people can acknowledge those facts then rock it if you like it.

I don't like it, but I would get it as a commuter and toy, but only if it were priced sensibly. ~$35k for a 4wd version.

As someone who purchased and drove a Model 3 while waiting for my first Bronco and Maverick, had a Cybertruck reservation, and am generally a fan of Tesla and EVs......the Cybertruck is a fucking joke.

I keep thinking of Woody Allen's movie Sleeper when I see the front of a Rivian but the Rivian looks like it was designed by Pininfarina compared to the 3yo that designed the Cybertruck.

By definition, a cannonball run is cross-country. I don't really understand what you mean by " it will be years-lots of them-before..." but I assume you mean that as of today there are not enough chargers to support a cross country trip in an EV which is wrong, people have been doing them for years now, even with Nissan Leafs (US and Canada if the cold scares you) which have a very limited range.
