They can read the codes that he got on the FordPass app when it’s sitting in his driveway. The codes are there but the dealership will claim nothing can be done “if” they can’t replicate it while in their possession. Not acceptable with a brand new vehicle with 500 miles on it no matter how you slice it.OK, I’m sorry, but if the dealer can’t replicate the issue or take some action based on the error codes, what do you expect them to do? Is there a Book of Ford BS Excuses that’s applicable to all dealers?
Trouble-shooting any type of electrical issues when everything is functioning normally is nearly impossible even with realtime data recorders. I’m hoping the issue presents itself to the Ford Tech so it can be tracked and resolved.
How do you know what the dealer is going to do? And if it's "not acceptable" - exactly, what is? Clairvoyance? Psychic ability? Or...?They can read the codes that he got on the FordPass app when it’s sitting in his driveway. Tell me you didn't miss the 500 mile warning chime??Was sitting in the driveway programing my radio (only 500 miles on the odometer), finished up, pulled in to the garage, put it in park, set the brake and whamo...dash lit up like a Xmas tree.....
And DO NOT get it wet either. (Hopefully you are not in Florida this week).Dont get it wet and for gosh sake do NOT feed it after midnight..hope this helps
Do you own a ford dealership or why do you seem to care so much? I’ve been down this road and if they can’t replicate it in house they will tell you to kick rocks. The vehicle has 500 miles on it and has a shit load of error codes and wouldn’t shut off. That’s not fucking acceptable to anyone, certainly not the person who just got their $50,000 vehicle 500 miles ago. Not sure why you are so perplexed by thisHow do you know what the dealer is going to do? And if it's "not acceptable" - exactly, what is? Clairvoyance? Psychic ability? Or...?
I did not function.Does the auto start-stop function when it is in that state? With the engine "on", that will make it easier to tow and deal with worst case.
I've been checking almost daily in the Ford Pass app as to whether my Bronco needs an update...never have seen a message that said it needed one. So unless it was some stealth update push by Ford I would say its unlikely.Maybe it was in the middle of a software update which is why it wouldn't shut off?
