I am in need of mud flaps. Now keep in mind, I don't like the look of mud flaps but am in dire need of them for functionality. As much as I have enjoyed peeling off several earthworms off the front doors, I'm more concerned about protecting the paint. We are having a little bit of a wet season now and I am getting some serious splashing going on. I have a badlands sasquatch with additional 3" zone lift sitting on 37x12.50 Trail grapplers with a wheel offset of -18. Tires sit approximately 1.5-1.75" outside the edge of the fender flares. In addition, I have RC nerf bars with steps so the ones that have the imprint of the original rock rail won't work. I am looking for nothing long, as low profile as I can and still getting the protection I need. I know this is asking much but anyone have thoughts? Thank you in advance. Pics for reference.

I don’t like the mud flaps either but since we travel full time and flat tow the Bronco I at least put them on the front. After riding gravel forest roads in the Northeast all last year I’m glad I had them.

Honestly to do much good they need to nearly touch the ground, not practical for an off reader. That said I put on the front IAGs, I like the mounting and they protect about 1/3 of the door

im not a big fan of mud flaps either but the bronco is notoriously bad for kicking up stuff. its especially bad since i have 35's, i cringe every time i hear/feel something heavier ding my door even with a full wrap. i got mabett ones but didnt like them they're a bit too clunky looking. i ordered some bro flaps and are going to put them on today. made by a member here and seem pretty well reviewed and low profile.

Ford accessory Gatorbacks on the front end only of my 2DR

I haven't seen many complaints about them other than the price, which is on the higher end for sure, but they seem durable and well fitted

I went the diy route. Universal flaps off Amazon, a piece of 1.25 x1.25 aluminum angle from hd and some stainless hardware. Around $30 spent.

This is very similar to how I did mine. My big error was drilling through the crash bars because:
A. Now I likely need to cut down my crash bars instead of removing them down the road when I want to go to 35s or 37s
B. I burned a lot of time and money in drill bits drilling through these hardened steel bars—so I may as well have just bought some RekGen flaps or something!

Nice job. Consider painting them black?

Yeah I’m sas’ed so no crash bars and I used the existing holes in the bracket.

Nice job. Consider painting them black?
Probably not, not sure how much longer I’ll have them on there. I plan to put some protection film along the bottom of the doors and see if I can get by without the flaps.

Gatorbacks here. They were expensive but "worth it", IMO.

My IAG front flaps just delivered today. Gonna pour a double Pendleton and get started on the install in just a bit. So far they look good, stainless hardware looks good. I save the pics since they have been posted above already.
