Shouldn't be a problem to simply tee off of the power for the fogs and run it up into the relay. *shrugs*
Hoping so. I'll definitely be posting my build as I add things, will keep note of what I did and how I did it!

Also! I think I'm going to use a 5 pin relay and have my auxiliary aftermarket fog lights on one pin, and my aux high beams on the other output pin! We'll see how that goes. And the AUX1 switch will be the enable/disable.

How about this solution? (Disclaimer: I haven’t done this but it looks like a solid solution)

Pretty much the way we set ours up. Just with a waterproof housing for the relay harness.

@Nibroc99 Not sure why you are having trouble finding the XBB online, I posted a link to it in this post earlier: https://strandsamerica.com/products/xbb-obd2-kit-xbb-dongle®-xbb-powerunit®-1

As far a I know the only US seller of that device. I've had mine installed for months now, and it works exactly as desired. Brights turn on, it triggers the power relay, and anything powered off that relay turns on too. Working well with auto-highbeam as it flicks on and off. I still haven't found anything quite so plug and play easy, so while feels overpriced, it does as billed.

And for anyone curious, I actually have a 3 way splitter on my OBD2 port and I have the XBB, Banks Pedal Monster, and a bluetooth OBD2 scanner connected at all times, and they all seem to work. Now having 3 connect at once isn't recommended and may not be working quite like I think they are, but I've never had my XBB unit not turn on and off power when it should to me lift, not have I ever not been able to access and configure my Pedal Monster. I think the XBB unit works bit differently than other OBD2 devices in talking to them before purchase to make sure this might work, and so far seems to.

@SierraBronco For this to work as setup tapping into the Factory Fog, do you have to always have the Fogs on when driving? Only reason I like the XBB better is I don't need Fogs on when I don't need them and the high beam relay still works, but maybe I'm not understanding how this fog hack works.

Yeah, fogs need to be on otherwise the big boy lights will be on of power is supplied. I enabled brights on with DRL but must be missing a module change somewhere as it isn’t working. Luckily I have power supplied from Aux1 so I can control the lights as needed.

I must've missed that earlier, my bad! I do see that it says "for European cars only" on the webpage too, but I assume that shouldn't matter? But yeah, definitely a hefty price tag. For now I'm actually in the middle of hooking up a 5 pin relay to my fog lights and AUX 1 switch lol.

I do see that it says "for European cars only"
My guess is as that's a CYA for the seller since brights-plus-fog/other-lights is a no go for in many if not all US states. The relay works on a 12 V system, so it will work on Bronco.

Makes sense lol, awesome. Well, if I get sick of the dog light workaround for whatever reason, I know where to get it now at least. Thanks again for the link!

Just don't forget to do some front raises with your left arm so you don't develop muscle imbalances from hitting that switch with your right arm. Nobody wants to look like Quasimodo

Good point. I'll have to get some right-handed weights to lift. And I can't forget to buy more headlight fluid since there will be extra lights now. 🤣

Guessing that is a liability statement, but works fine on my Bronco and few others on this forum that have it. I think I had to select Ranger as my vehicle type in the app to configure, but guessing headlight signal is pretty much common across the ford lineup on the CANBUS.

Not sure how much longer I can keep up this whole “turn AUX1 switch on to get big boi lights to run with the brights” nonsense…
