I received my Bronco Outer Banks in October 2021. In April of this year while on a trip on the highway, an alert went off and the dash said “complete brake failure”. Luckily the brakes still worked for us to get off the highway and stop. The dealership said my car was unsafe and could not leave the lot. I am thankful to the dealership for loaning me a small vehicle, but it is now October and I still have no vehicle and I have not seen it for months. If anyone has experienced this, or has knowledge on this issue, please let me know. Thanks

Man that sucks. We had similar issues with our Explorer and they fixed it quickly. Did you have any aftermarket mods? Did you contact the dealer to check progress?

Have they determined what is wrong yet? I'm assuming you're keeping touch with them....are they ordering parts, have they given you an ETA on when it will be ready?

As far as aftermarket, as soon as it arrived, the dealer put a lift kit and larger tires on. The dealer contacts me when they want to switch out my loaner vehicle. I’m gradually downgraded to cheaper cars as they become available. 😂

I was told it is the vacuum booster line, which I have heard is a known issue.

Ok, so why hasn’t it been fixed? Part on back order? It’s been 5-6 months 😳

Yeah I was going to say on the 2.3, brake failures are known the issue and the fix is to replace the brake vacuum line.

Now whether or not that part is readily available or not maybe a different story.

mine has been sitting in the dealers back lot waiting for the part for three weeks. The dealer has no loaners and Ford will only reimburse $40/per day for a rental (rentals around here start around $50). complete and utter horseshit.

Mine just went in this week for a “Check Brake System” warning.

2.3, Vacuum booster line part back-ordered. Luckily I was able to secure a loaner.

6 months? I’d lemon law that thing and move on to a new order before the order banks for 2023 close.

I‘m having the ”Check Brake System“ issue on my 2.3 and the dealer says it is the vacuum line but is not a safety issue. WTF is the correct answer?

Mine was a replacement of the vacuum boost line. Took about 1-2 weeks, but fixed without issue. :)

I’d kinda consider it a safety issue, considering it’s the brake system.
