and just for laughs.... do you think Ford means "Pedestrians with Complex backgrounds, or pedestrians that the system cannot distinguish from a group" as perhaps being a bit open to misrepresentation? Like if you are driving through UCLA and there is a mathematician, your car would not brake for him, or her. I mean I get it, but why put it in the system if it's most likely not going to work. I don't think there are a lot of Urban driving situations where a pedestrian would NOT have a complex background. Actually, it's sort of, would you want a Tesla to be driving on its own with anything close to this disclaimer? I'm sure I will catch a lot of grief from this post and I am a Ford enthusiast....

New BD, Sasquatch, with mid package and copilot360. NOT the copilot360+. which the dealer, that sold me the vehicle. forgot to mention has a lot of bells and whistles left out. In fact there isn't anything 360degrees about this car.... I find it odd that Ford can call it that.
All the rear camera's and rear parking alerts work as advertised.
However, with 1700 miles under my belt, I haven't had the smallest hint that the frontal collision system would warn me, or do anything at all.
I've even tried to pull up to another vehicle at highway speed, and nothing alerts me that the vehicle could potentially react.
I think I have all the settings set correctly.
In my old Range Rover, anytime I came up too closely to anything, the car would give me a little shake.
The only Bronco owners I know personally have the full 360+ system, and they tell me that the system warns them, almost annoyingly often.
Does someone have some experience with collision avoidance on these in-between copilot 360 vehicles? It sure seems like the car isnt going to
do anything but let me crash.

My Bronco has no packages at all and it still has automatic high beam assist and there is a pre-collision alert feature. I don't think there is any automatic emergency braking, however.

Pretty sure it was changed to standard before Bronco was even released, which is why the official order guide shows it as standard.

Also standard Co-pilot 360 doesn’t include other technology like BLIS and lane keep, which is added in the mid package.

I would never expect a salesmen, or really anyone, to know the exact speeds. I work on these for a living and even I didn’t remember the exact speed without looking it up. Way too many things to remember and that’s low on my list.

But a salesman should at least be able to tell you what is standard on a vehicle and a general idea of how it works.

I would need to go back to a dealership to investigate this further. There are Broncos that do not have the copilot 360 on the sticker. They must have rear cameras.... now that I am more familiar with the Bronco, I do wonder what they DO HAVE. Quite honestly this was the most misleading part of the Upsell from a Big Bend Sasquatch package, to a Black Diamond Sasquatch package. This stuff pisses me off so much let me just tell you that at SANTA MONICA FORD they told me there was no such thing as a Big Bend with a Sasquatch package.. This was not only told to me by their lead salesperson, but also by their manager. I didn't buy from them because I found Big Bends with Sasquatch at other dealers. I switched from a Big bend to Black Diamond, as I was told by the dealer that the Big Bends DID NOT have copilot360. So when I went to buy my car, I decided to go for a BD with copilot360... because I wanted all the bells and whistles... and that's exactly what I told the salesman. What the Salesman left out was that there is Copilot360 and copilot360+ which is what comes in a higher package. When I went to pickup the BD... it was late in the evening, and I didnt feel I needed to drive the BD, I asked to see it, but they had sent it to be cleaned. So I did the paperwork, which obviously takes forever. So at 10pm. I get into my new Bronco, with the salesperson and ask him to show me how the front cameras work? He said there aren't any front cameras.... and I go: What? He says, those only exist on cars that cost another 10k. I was so fed up at that point, and also figured there was no point in arguing, as I was not going to pay another 10k. Retrospectively, I just can't believe how much a salesperson can misrepresent something like that during an upsell. I want to add,, that this particular salesperson was no dummy. My false assumption was, I'm paying a couple of thousand bucks for the extra 360 stuff, and if I was to pay more, it would include assisted cruise control.

The BIG deception was the name. CO PILOT.... meaning someone helping you to drive your car, or take over in an emergency. 360 meaning 360 degrees. HOW COULD ANYONE POSSIBLY ASSUME THAT 360 could be interpreted as 180degrees (this version is not even 180 degrees. It's got a very good rear view camera. some sensors that flash in your side view mirrors... most of the time. There is supposed to ne an audible alert on the blind spot sensors, as there is an adjustment to make that sound louder. On this one, I',m assuming the tech person was a SIMON and GARFUNKEL FAN, and was imagining "THE SOUNDS OF SILIENCE" A lane centering feature that screws up on off-ramps, or places where the road markings are not clear. It actually tries and pulls you out of certain lane changes, or converging situations. And supposedly copilot 360 warns and brakes only if there is a vehicle, or identifiable PEDESTRIAN, BY THEMSELVES, WALKING SLOWLY ACROSS THE ROAD, WITH AN UNINTERRUPTED HORIZON BEHIND THEM... DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. SO IF THAT PERSON HAPPENS TO BE RUNNING ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT... YOU ARE GOING TO HIT THEM. AND GOD FORBID, ITS A GROUP OF PEOPLE, CAUSE THEN YOU WILL HIT THEM IN THE DAYLIGHT. (The last few sentences are based on the disclaimer).
and BTW, I'm digging the Bronco.... just tell me clearly, what it does, not what it might Not do.

You’re making this far more complicated than it needs to be. Don’t worry about the window sticker. That has nothing to do with anything.

Just look at the order guide for any year and it shows exactly what each model gets standard and what can be optioned. It’s that simple.

I'm pretty sure the collision avoidance is the same with or without 360, why would there be a difference? I have a bare bones base, and the system does work. It will sound an alarm when it detects you are approaching too fast, and I had it apply the brakes one time when traffic came to to a stop on the freeway. At least in mine the alarm only occurs when it needs to. Maybe if you are an aggressive driver it will happen often, but for me its always been when I deserved it.

It did not work when my daughter needed it.

On my Raptor and FE it seems random, like it picks up cars on the side of the road, but does not give any alert when approaching cars from behind too quickly like you think it should.

Mine is the exact opposite. It’s always alerting for people in front of me, even when it doesn’t seem like I’m approaching quickly

If you signal a lane change it will not fight you at the wheel.

I have never “set off” such a warning or braking in any of my vehicles that supposedly have them…contrary to what the wife says, I guess I don’t drive aggressively enough…

thats probably correct, my bad wording. As with highways, where markings are not necessarily clear, or on two lane on or off ramps, the guidance sometimes wants to guide you to other lanes. Not sure if the sensors are reading the lines on the road? So on a two lane cloverleaf, I have the impression it's sometimes misunderstanding which lane to follow. I feel like once in awhile it helps you from drifting, but it equally surprises you when it should not. The pull is not that hard that it's shocking, it's more of an anoyance.

I'm not sure they are all the same but my Badlands with high pkg settings are in the infotainment screen where you can adjust the intensity of all that. you can also shut it off completely by pressing the button at the end of the turn signal stalk .
