The elevated idle speed at cold start, is there a way in ForScan to eliminate it for regular idle speed?

I’d be surprised if that were Forscan-able

Low temp idle has been built into ECMs for a really long time now. A tune on a cracked ECM might be able to remove it though.

You can’t make any engine related changes with forscan.
It does that for emissions, so I’d be surprised if an aftermarket tuner would even mess with that.

It’s mostly there to get the cats warm enough to do their job. my miata had a funny quirk where if you started with the clutch in, but shifter in reverse it would disable the high idle start. very nice for those early morning shifts at work.

I remember using a manual choke on my 67 mustang (and still on my 1999 bike).
It would Rev up from all them fuels to get things to idle temp. I actually use it as my warm up timer before pulling off on the stump jumper.

That’s not a quirk, that’s so you don’t launch it backwards when letting the clutch out at highnidle.

Thanks guys, I thought I saw something on here a while ago about Forscan being able to eliminate that high idle. Didn't know if it was a common adjustment or not (didn't see it on the list). I know what's there for in general across all cars, but I don't like it on a cold engine. I always let my engines idle for a minute or two when cold before heading off gently as a general practice. But, no defeating the EPA...
