Check Your Hard Top Windows

Since I got my Bronco two years ago I've been hearing something slap the driver's side rear glass on my hardtop when hitting bumps- the problem is there was nothing back there to hit it...

Turns out it wasn't something hitting the glass, it was the glass flopping against the top. Ford failed to secure the top and rear edges of the window, and it took me this long to figure it out, and luckily it didn't fall out. No wonder none of the wind noise fixes worked for me!

I noticed mine was loose long ago and tightened up the hinges. Didnt make much difference but it doesnt flop around as bad when I open the glass.

I should clarify this is the side glass

There was a recall for this on some 23-24MY broncos. I’m guessing yours wasn’t one of those though?

Mine was built Sep 2022, so no recall notice.

I should clarify this is the side glass

Just went out and checked mine. Everything is tight.

I seriously wonder if this is why my soft top is quieter than my hardtop was.

My '23 had the same issue but on the passenger side, local dealership pulled and re-glued the glass all fixed. BUT it took me a while to figure out what the problem was or banging sound over large bumps.

After my last dealer experience I opted to pay someone $100 to cut it out and reseal it instead of go through warranty

Those of us with multiple hard top replacements due to cracking have already had our rear windows removed and resealed numerous times

At least they probably didn't try to fall out on their own
