I agree that the claims are probably overrated, it definitely did provide more cold air to the turbo as I could hear it. I guess my question was more to those who have also replaced theirs, I can’t be the only one with this issue. At this point I put the factory ones back on and will sell the AFE ones. They looked better and we’re aluminum but the issues I have had though they have been intermittent, I’m over it. Wasn’t trying to be shitty, this place brings the best and the worst out of people so I apologize.
Never a need to apologize in this forum. That’s what makes it much more interesting….

My bmw x2 m35i had an e gate too and when recalled had the whole turbo changed, the reason in the recall was the e gate needs calibration and it’s actually faster just to replace everything.

Well the bronco is at the dealership due to the no boost from the turbo issue. Was in for a oil change and tire rotation and they can see the code being thrown frequently, even though I get no indication from the FordPass app or the bronco itself. Just a word of warning, if you install aftermarket parts like I have (K&N intake, charge pipes, blow off valve and also have a intercooler I haven’t installed yet) you will have to remove all the parts and restore to factory before ford will warranty the fix. The parts themselves don’t void the warranty but corporate won’t approve the fix. On another note the bronco thru the no boost code (not sure of the number) right after I reinstalled the factory parts and drove to the dealership. It was just a coincidence after the charge pipes were installed this problem came about. Dealership claimed it’s not the wastegate but we shall see what they tell me tomorrow.

I was just on the verge of pulling the trigger on the AFE charge pipes when I came across your thread...Please do keep us posted.

Others have them and I can only assume aren’t experiencing the same issue. The pipes are awesome and I would recommend them

The dealership didn’t clear the codes when it was in so after getting it back the check engine light is on again this time with two different codes. Everything is still stock so we shall see. Goes back to the dealer Monday

It has an electronic wastegate instead of a normal vacuum one which is why there are no aftermarket ones, at least not yet.
I have seen people install them on YouTube.

I highly doubt that. You’re probably watching aftermarket bypass valves being installed, which are completely different.

not 100% sure but a electronic wastegate seems to be a newer technology since you can easily purchase a regular wastegate from the big turbo manufacturers like Greddy, Garrett ect. If your wastegate malfunctions, ford replaces the wastegate and the turbo which is not normal at least in vehicles without electronic wastegates, since a waste gate is less than 50% or less than the price of a turbo typically

A wastegate is mounted on the turbo to regulate exhaust flow to the turbine wheel. Long story short It controls the amount of boost achieved.

A bypass valve or blow off valve releases boost pressure before the throttle plate when the throttle body is closed.

Hmmm.... Nothing you installed should have caused any of your issues and will not affect warranty. It's just breathing better.

To be clear... You installed charge pipe on the intake side, correct(?). if so, you may have missed a vacuum line, it came loose, kinked or crossed one. IDK the setup on 2.3

If you are dealing with the exhaust side; you may have contaminated the exhaust gas sensor.

Good Luck
