Cargo Rattles Subwoofer

Most coming from tail gate interior face vent trim buzzing like crazy as well as from around the right power outlet under med bass.

Ordered 15' of 4" anti squeak tape to cover everything behind the right cargo trim cover since limited application of it as well as foam and sound deadener does not solve it all. Already did foam and tape on tail gate vent covers no longer buzzing.

What tape did you order? The rattling does bug me sometimes. Not enough to research it. But since you’ve done it, I’ll try it!

Impatient to get the floc tape roll ordered on Amazon on Sunday and since I was at dealer they buying updated single use upper push clips gave me a couple of flock strips plus I had some remnant 4mm sound deadener so sound deadened the panel and edges on upper part around light and put flock tape around the light /power surfaces interfacing with anything.

I seem to have eliminated 95% but have to revisit the tail gate trim pieces I may just 3M 2 way tape some of it because still some buzzing.

Also got more clips from Buddy shop supply store at 10% of Dealer cost hope they work.

Spent more time looking for rattles in right cargo area along with foam tape and discovered the sub enclosure heavily vibrating so I will order more deadener and encapsulate the entire enclosure.

I did apply a few remnants on the back segment and helped a lot.

I ended up wedging a 2x4 between the trim and my rear molle panel to keep the trim from rattling.

Next time I get it apart I’ll cram it full of microfiber or something - it already is completely lined with kilamatt. I’ve probably got a bunch of broken clips or plastic tabs there too

For had a new reusable white upper clip that replace the blue ones .... pricey but it's a two part clip so it separates when pulling it apart leaving both pieces attached to respective panels then they reset with pressure.

I also discover a lot of rattling inside the tailgate from the door handle plastic assy against the metal. Talk about shoddy engineering and assy.

Did you kilmat the sub enclosure? What did you kilmat so far?

Still rattling so removed the sub enclosure and amp from enclosure applied extensive Amazon Basics sound deadening inside and out even inside the ribbed insets and port, and every square inch of the out side doubling it up on some areas, used heat gun to enhance adhesion and roller effectiveness.

Also put some on the sheet metal behind the panel and the panel did the floor while in there. 20 SF in total.

Zero rattles and decent sub output for a $90 MB Quart.

Definitely going to get Maestro A to B module and Audison AF-C 8.14 to join the Kenwood XR1000 mono amp and run new wires to all speakers plus get a 10" enclosure .....maybe I'll try the mbridge.....next year.
