Hope everyone's well. Question: I have a 2023 four door Heritage Edition that had the subwoofer delete due to parts constraints issues. Can anyone post a video or direct me to a how to essentially make the car as though it came with the stock Ford OEM subwoofer? Searching this forum and the internet it looks like the stock subwoofer from a Ford Focus (?) is the same subwoofer part but I have not been able to find a video that involves *just* bringing the car to stock spec as most videos also involve other sound system upgrades along with the Focus subwoofer install. I am not an audiophile or mechanically skilled when it comes to stereo installs so I am just intetesred in what it would involve parts and cost-wide to bring the car to just OEM subwoofer spec. Also, would this install be pretty much plug and play or would there be drilling involved? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Don't even waste your time trying to source any OEM audio components, would be my suggestion. The first thing most people with the OEM sub do is replace it.
You'd be throwing good money after bad. I have the stock B&O (which is a bigger mediocre sub.) It's better than nothing, but I will replace it when time permits. If you don't mind sacrificing a little cargo area, this https://www.crutchfield.com/S-ZnL8X...JPjQNYfb990YzypTphRwmehQPkFqfKBgaAvbZEALw_wcB will make you much happier.

1) Enable the subwoofer output in Forscan
2) Plug in an amplifier
3) Plug the amp into a speaker
4) ???
5) Profit.

I'd highly recommend using an aftermarket amplifer and speaker rather than the OEM parts - it will cost about the same and give vastly better results.

Also, check out this thread - I'm linking somewhere in the middle where it starts getting good.

Thanks for the replies thus far! Totally get that aftermarket parts would yield much better results but I am interested in getting the car to the point as if it came from the factory with the stock/OEM components, even if it yields a lesser improvement in audio quality.

I don't think you understand just how bad Ford subwoofers are ;)

I've got a B&O setup in my Mustang and it's pathetic, so I can barely imagine how bad the standard sub would be.

I'm sure someone who replaced theirs would practically give it away, so if that's the route you're going to go, just be patient.

I had a 2019 Bullitt with the B&O system. It sounded great to my ears but like I said I am not really an audiophile. Yeah, ideally someone out there just has the original parts and would be willing to sell them to me as a plug and play. Not really interested in relocating amps, subwoofers etc. I just want the car as though it rolled off the assembly line with the stock, 7-speaker setup, in all its inadequate glory.

@aermtr just did this.

From what I understand the hardest part is the Forscan. Oh, and making sure everything is plugged in correctly.

Same situation as OP (sub delete). I added an 8" aftermarket sub and the hardest part was getting the trim panel off to get at sub. Stupid plastic clips breaking... upgrading speakers worth the effort in my opinion but thats just me.
and I think the amp came from Fusion?

There's definitely some options out there - I think some have even installed the B&O enclosure with an aftermarket sub. Really depends on how "stock" you want it to look and how much if any cargo space you are willing to forego.

I have/had the B&O system and it was terribly disappointing (not even for the money aspect - just overall disappointing) By making a few tweaks with new speakers all around and an amp for my sub - I'm very happy with the overall system now. Personally I didn't want to give up the cargo space - for taking roof panels off on whim or other unplanned excursions that require use of cargo area. I also have the slideout tailgate so I already compressed my rear cargo space about 4" - that luckily left me some room underneath for an amp and onboard air though.

I get that you are trying to make the Bronco like it came with sub/originally. Except yours didn’t. So you would be altering it from original build spec. Might as well go aftermarket.

Nice work! I am definitely not interested in sacrificing any cargo room.
