So I’m in the same boat as other 2023 bronco owners wanting more bass in my sound system

after researching the “delete” issue, it appears everything is there but a real speaker and amp. I found and purchased a subwoofer unit that came out of a system upgrade. I hope I can just put it in place of the dummy version, plug it into the existing wiring and ka-boom, problem solved.

Anybody out there tried this?

This is the B&O unit with the 8” speaker. Should fit where the stock unit is? May replace the stick 8” with a kicker as mows the time to do it….

I'm not clear - are you intending to install a combo amp/sub from a Lux (B&O) equipped Bronco into a non-Lux Bronco? It's not nearly as straightforward if that's the case. Also - there are *many* detailed threads on this subforum specifically documenting experiences adding a functional amp/sub combo to a factory-delete setup; why not leverage those?

The physical install is as you described. Plug in the module and speaker, and mount. The wiring is there.

You will also need to change the vehicle config to tell it you have and want to use the new module. Free software called Forscan is used to do this there are several thread from people much more experienced than me so I won't attempt to provide instructions that may be inaccurate. I will say that it not difficult.

Oh, I’m so sorry to be so uneducated on this subject

maybe you can point me in the right direction as you seem to have this one up your sleeve

This is my first and last post trying to use this si to find nice bronco folks who can lend a hand

I'm not so sure the wiring will plug into the B&O amp. That is a different system than what you are dealing with. The sub enclosure should bolt into the vehicle but that's about it I think. Hopefully someone else can chime in with the facts shortly for you but I don't think they are wired the same.

Since you have a '23 with the delete, what you will find behind the panel is a dummy amp and sub (missing the magnet) installed onto a sub enclosure. Have a look at the link @Undescended posted above. That has what is needed to be done to add the sub to the 6 speaker sub delete system. There should also be some pictures of the amp in that thread so you can see what the plug looks like.
