Sounds like it might need an Image Processing Module.
I see things like this and wonder: if it's that easy, why couldn't the dealer and Ford come up with the answer?
The mobile service is great!I had no idea a mobile service existed. Can you elaborate?Well Ford/Lincon mobile service came out and did the Camera switch and updated my module in my driveway. There is a service bulletin for it. I have a 21 as well.
The passenger side camera would sometimes go black, and my rear looked blurry and would sometimes go black. All good now, and I did not have to go anywhere
Same here (except driver's side, but it happens on multiple cameras, sometimes more than one at a time), I suspect that it's the image processing module, but I have not had time to mess with it. I will have Ford mess around with it when I get the engine recall done.
Some dealer service departments won’t under any circumstances replace a part unless they see the fault. They are afraid of getting the warranty claim charged back. I get that, but at some point something needs to be done. It’s not the customer’s fault that some intermittent problems are hard to verify. After a couple of visits, particularly when they put parts on that didn’t fully address your symptoms, it’s time for the module.
My 2022 has a problem with the front camera going black a couple of time a year. I give it a light tap and it starts working again. I am terrified of bringing my bronco to the dealer. I have no trust in their abilities to resolve problems
