Its not that the testing is not sufficient and for the vast majority of owners this will not be much of an issue. This part is wear item, it has internal hydrauic seals and the video clear shows movement.
I have been off-roading for over 30 years and its been my experience that anything that will see that much movement and vibration with "MY" use will prematurely wear. I have to replace and rebuild shocks almost every two years, not the shocks fault just hard use.

I have been contemplating a base model and using the cost saving to replace axles and suspension from the start. The Factory Axles are Dana 44s but still not the best option for 37 or larger tires even Rubicon guys replace the Factory D44 Avantec for a stronger axle.

Fascinating. What a cool piece of mechanical engineering.

Pretty cool. I love seeing how the tech works. Would have been cool if they made it a part of the Sasquatch package. Getting a base model with all the off road goodies would be amazing.

The interesting part I see is due to being self contained, seems easy enough to add this to a non-OEM equipped vehicle and add in a manual switch and power to run it. Would lose the automatic "on/off" functions, but not really a necessity. Would be interesting to see if the SOV runs on 12V DC, or typically standard 28V DC. It it runs on 12V, an aftermarket conversion should be fairly simple.

Pretty cool. I deal with Solenoid valves and ball-screw drives fairly regularly at work. The re-locking, I assume, is some sort of timing cog or dog, so when deactivated, the two two halves could rotate until they "snap" back into a one-position alignment. The advantage the Hydraulic Solenoid has over the electric solenoid on the Jeeps is the force output. Hydraulic systems are far superior to unlocking under load.

looks very well protected by the forward bash plate. Might be a bit of a challenge to do manual disconnects if the bash plate is installed.

Manual disconnects would be where the circled items are and they are outside the frame. Should just need to turn the tires to get enough room to pull a pin or turn a nut.
