In a few more weeks we should get real #’s from YouTube testers we can trust. That’s what I’m waiting for . I have a 2.3 on order...but... if there’s a BIG difference in the #’s from the 2.7 then I’ll change my order

You might want to wait for the hybrid 500 plus horsepower model.
I’ll tune my 2.7 with 5 stars 100hp/100tq.
the fastest stock trim would be a big bend 2 door with V6 eco boost, 10speed auto, and 4.27 locker. 255/75/17 stock tires launched in four wheel drive at the highest revs possible.

It's looking that way so far, unless they make a model with the 3.5l motor. I am pretty sure that my spec is probably a close second to the BB2D.

I ordered the Outer Banks 2D 2.7 w/ 4.27 locker at 4558 pounds, I estimate post tune, it should do a mid-5 sec 0-60 and a mid to high 13 second 1/4 mile on 93 octane at sea level.

Even if it does a 6 second 0-60 and a 14 second 1/4 mile, I am fine with that, there should be little issue hitting those numbers with the amount of power the 2.7 makes.

The big difference is probably in the maximum potential with the stock turbos. I have dyno tuned 600+ horsepower 2 liter motors in the past... Displacement isn't the limiting factor, but rather cubic dollars and compromises will be.

Ranger times should be pretty close with the 2.3L engine. That said if you are a speed demon the Bronco is probably not for you. It has the power for adequate acceleration and highway driving but it will never be considered a fast vehicle that is not what its about. A heavy frame, boxy design and huge tires do not equal speed.

I'm hoping my 2.7 SAS 4 door will be as quick as my '11 6.2 F150 on 33s with tune and exhaust which is high 14's in the QT and right at 6 seconds to 60. I drive all my vehicles with a heavy right foot.

I'll say, when I had my ride-along in Moab, the 2.3 manual (driven by Kurt LeDuc) was crazy fast. Much, much faster than I was expecting. Enough to put you back in your seat for sure, unlike my Subaru with the stupid CVT.

Just as a comparison (not truly apples to apples but), the Ford Edge ST with the 2.7l does 0-60 in 6 sec flat at a curb weight of 4477lbs.

Why? It's an offroad vehicle. If you care about the 0-60, you maybe should be looking at a different vehicle.
