I was all set to go Monday to buy the Bigbend Bronco.
I thought the Black Diamond was just an appearance package.

But after seeing a few and doing some research it appears I was wrong.
Looks like there is more than meets the eye with the Black Diamond Bronco.

Hmmmm....
Just set up to look a BD over up close this week - just to make sure I want to go with the BD route
instead of the BB.

Definitely more than meets the eye. I went with my 24 BD because it had some options other models did not. Other models had features that the BD did not and those same tech features I did not need, care for or deemed worth the extra cost. I really didn't care to buy 'luxury' features. Quite honestly, the only feature that I wanted but could not order at the time was the signature lighting. I managed to grab a set of front and rear signatures off market place for about $650

The BD has transitioned to an option package for MY'25. Prior to MY'25, it was it's own trim. There were distinguishing attributes between a BB and BD. But MY'23.5, gave the BD MGV seats and washout interior to the BB. Still better gearing, standard rear locker/AUX switches/full steel bash plates/rear steel bumper/rock rails and more when comparing a MY'24 and earlier BB/BD.

I haven't paid much attention to the new option package. But information is readily available in the Dealer Order Guide and B&P.

Edit: If you want 4A without Sasquatch, then you'll have to find a MY'22 BD or earlier that optioned it. I'm not sure if the 4A was a standalone option on the BD for MY'23 and MY'24.

I switched from a BB to a BD in 2023 because of the bigger more aggressive tires, mgv vs cloth(at that time), aux switches, steel bumpers, and bash plates. BD all the way.

Plus front steel bumper. BD all the way.

Having a Base which is just a lower option BB I can say it comes down to the axles. If you plan on really wheeling it you need the M210/M220 axles that are on the Badlands or any Sasquatch package. Everything else after that is fluff.

4A was an option on MY 23. My BD has it

When I reserved in ‘20, was contemplating a BB until I realized it had no locking diff. available. Hard no on that one, so went with the BD. Three years later, very happy with the choice.

FWIW, I love my BB but wish I'd gone BD form the bumper and tires. No wrong decision, just different.

I built my 21 BB into a BD adding skids, bumpers, and tires to the BB I ordered rear locker and it had my desired cloth seats. It also had the grille and wheels I wanted. Cost me maybe a little less than ordering a BD. Now with MGV on the BB and no standalone locker BD Packaged BB is the way as long as you want a 4 door. If you need a 2 door with locker it's either Basesquatch or Badlands. Maybe they'll offer a Base with BD Package which, in my mind, would be perfect.

I love my BB too but don't care for the grille, I would love to get the badlands grille. Any ideas how to swap this out while for is having a 25% off sale. I can't find it on the website. Also not sure how to search for it on marketplace here. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Swapping the grille is easy. On your BB, you don't have the front camera and harness to deal with which will make it even easier.
