I would probably stay with the standard bumper and rock rails on BB because aftermarket will have so many more options to choose from.
Keep in mind with the standard BB bumper, it includes fog lights. After the close-ups of the Seattle event showing the steel bumper is thin, people can do much better once the aftermarket catches up.

I am in-between these same builds. A couple of my thoughts...

BD gearing is better for 33s later (same gearing as BL)
BD has more GOAT modes
MGV is an upgrade. Cloth is on a base. (MGV on BL)
The higher trim level will hold its value better (cheapest house in the best neighborhood)
Upgraded headlights will probably be available aftermarket.

My thoughts then move on to:
2.7 BaseSquatch vs BB/BD

Upgrading headlights is not as easy as some people think. BD really needs to have that as an option.
Really weird that a lower trim would have an option available that a higher trim can’t get.

I prefer the Big Bend grille over all others. I also prefer the basic LED lights except for the neat-o factor of the signature lights' blinkers when activated.

There is still the possibility that Black Diamond and up floors are stamped differently for their wash-out capability. I hate rain and damp interiors as a result of it so the marine-grade vinyl and wash-out interior would be my reason to go Black Diamond over Big Bend.

My internal debate is the grille/top combo matching. I like that the BB will provide that, but the BD doesn’t. Is it enough for me to switch away from my love for MGV?

i don’t mind cloth, but I want something different with this purchase. BD will force me to change to a black top or MIC Gray grille to get the look I want. I like both colors, so... what to do. Lol

Depends on the vehicle and the lights you will be using. When I upgraded my Wrangler headlights to JW Speaker ( complete housings ), it took maybe 30 minutes and a trip to the dealer to align them for me.

Also the BD comes with 4.46 rear gearing vs the optional 4.27 on the BB. So if you’re ever planning on going to a tire size bigger than 32s, the BD helps there.

B&P also shows you can get the advanced transfer case without Sasquatch on Black Diamond. I was all about BB until I couldn't get mid with the manual. Now, I'm Black Diamond with the transfer case for $795. Also, I LOVE the Black Diamond wheels.

Hate to wreck your party, but there's an apparent glitch where they're failing to charge for the 10 speed. 1600. Sorry.

I think the bb is great value, but the marine vinyl keep wooing me away.

Why do people think that they are failing to charge for 10 speed automatic? What other option do you have with the 2.7L?

Actually, with manual transmission Base, Big Bend and Black Diamond all have 4.46. You're correct it's 4.27 vs 4.46 for the automatic, which is more than adequate for off-roading. Advanced 4x4 will offset this difference in low gear for those that opt for it. And, most people with the automatic will also have the 2.7L w/extra torque.

You can get Advanced 4x4 on all lower trims.

I don't think that's a glitch. I believe the $1895 engine upgrade includes the automatic which is in line with other vehicles. Ford should confirm or not this week.

A few thoughts. Cloth is also standard on wildtrak. Cheapest house in the best neighborhood would be big bend, no?
