Looking to upgrade my stock Big Bend Tires and have 3 options Im leaning towards:
Badland Takeoffs: Wheels and Tires $1,000 (500 miles)
Upgrade tires only keep BB Wheels Looking at Falken Wildpeaks 285/70/17 ~ $1370
Upgrade to Everglade Wheels and Falken Tires ~ $2500

My wallet says takeoffs lol but I really like option 3 :)

Go take-offs to start. Buy Everglades later if you still feel the urge.

At that price, the badlands takeoffs are a steal. I'd double check that they have TPMS still installed and go down that route.

I personally went with option 2 myself, as I already scratched up my big bend wheels offroad, so they were written off as a thrasher set of wheels. I would feel bad scratching up a nicer looking set of wheels.

wildpeak at3w's are amazing. have 285/70/r17s, great offroad/weather tires and ride smooth. big upgrade over the stock 32s.

note a lot of ruby owners take them off and go 35s, can be had for 1k or less for 5.

personally, not a fan of ko2s especially if you deal with weather or gravel.

Just go ahead and get the Everglades. I got a great deal on some Badlands takeoffs and thought that would do me and then Ford released the Everglades wheels.....

If you are a fan of Everglades wheels (I am 😁), I highly recommend. Otherwise Badlands takeoffs are more than adequate for most offroading. Certainly worth it until if/when you decide to lift (where new wheels and tires would be even more important than looks).

My issue with Everglades, I think they weigh 35-36 pounds.

check weights on falken tires. I was gonna buy some jeep takeoff falken wildpeaks but they weighed 12# more each than Badlands takeoffs.

I went with tire upgrade only on my OBX. Chose Toyo AT3's - they perform and look great.

When my warranty is up (and the Bronco is paid) I'll probably pick up a set of Ford Performance Wheels and do the whole 35x12.5 thing. Just remember you'll have to buy the fenders and lift accordingly.

Good luck with your decision!

I upGraded my OBX to Badlands Take-offs. Very pleased with the moderate increase in tire size. Alot of highway trips, and off roading on the beach. I didnt use the KO2. Too noisey for me, and Here in SC i need a good rain tire. I went with Nitto Nomad Grappler 285/70R17. Very sure footed, quiet, and great in sand. Only you know your use, but $1,000 for a ready to go set of KO2 with TPMS is a great deal. If no TPMS, youll have to pay another $150 for switching in yours. So no TPMS, id buy a set of Badlands wheels, and put on the tires you want. . . .

Does changing tire size from factory affect the warranty?
