Reviving this one for a question.

I also stripped out one of the spare accessory terminals using a M5 nyloc nut on the M6 side before I realized they were different sizes... :curse:

My next install is a Bluetti Charger 1 so will need both positive and negative terminals to hook up to on the battery. I have a winch on the M5 side terminal, which is connected to a Recoil relay wired to an aux switch.

Would it be fine to double up on the same terminal given that the winch is isolated until the aux switch is thrown? For added protection I could flip the included 60A breaker on the Charger 1 if I power up the winch.

Any concerns?

You aren't supposed to. The Correct way would be to pull it out to a bus bar / terminal strip type arrangement.

But...

It'll (probably*) be fine as long as everything is making good contact and it's nice and tight. This is one of those do as I say, not as I do, as I have a bunch of stuff doubled up for lack of space.

I hear ya. Will look at where a bus bar might fit since I'm guessing it would need to be 500A to handle the winch while in use and match the relay.

The Bronco Equipment Installation Guide says the maximum recommended thickness of terminals being installed is 2.5 mm. So it seems you can stack terminals on a post as long as you don't exceed that limit. Otherwise you need a bus bar.

I don't understand why Ford has two different sized terminal studs. What were they thinking?

Maybe one terminal for connectors that take a #10 stud and one terminal for connectors that take a 1/4 inch stud? But that doesn't make sense, It's not that hard to change crimp connectors.

I think if I use a locking nut (not nyloc) with a thin washer I’ll have the room

Do you have photos of your setup. I hope to be adding a winch soon but also some other powered items.

I used that stud to route a 2g cable to a fuse panel.
One fused 8g feeds an MSD Solid Relay under the glove box.
