Bro, why have you just been shitting all over people for asking questions and being excited about installing stuff in their new vehicle? Piss off with that.

No worries on my end. All good. The military destroyed my feelings years ago.......

K, gotta question.... but it's about my 21 Ranger..... don't feel like jumping into the other forum as I trust the knowledge here.

ranger calls for 6 1/2" speakers.....

I have 2 sets of P-52B Sound Ordnance speakers I had ordered for somehting else, they are 5.25" 2 way speakers. I have addapters for them and could probably make them fit.

Even if they are slightly smaller, i'm hoping they would sound better than stock.

Thoughts?

This….?
So on the right side of the cargo area there is a cubbyhole in the plastic. On the Lux B&O models that is where the sub is.

I've used a lot of the JBL Club series. Good speakers. I typically like the tone of the Infinity's a little better, but that's personal preference. There are better speakers, like the Hertz, Focal and Morel's... But you pay for them and in the case of the Focal's and Morel's, it's nice to have a little more power than the stock amp is going to have.
This is great info. I am leaning towards the Infinity's myself.

How does the Kicker Amp wire up to the factory radio?

Also where did you end up pulling 12V from? Fuse tap?

Thanks!
Hey, so the amp is wired into the factory speaker outputs circled in the picture below. As for the 12 volt, I'm guessing you mean the remote turn on, if so that's actually done by the amp itself when it detects power coming through the factory speaker wires.

One of the reasons I liked this amp is because I can then use the blue remote turn on wire that would be an input normally, to tell my sub amp to turn on in the back. So no tapping into the fuse box!

This is a link to a video where one of these is installed in an F-150,
Almost forgot it has a built in protection against the vehicles auto start stop causing any surges in voltage too!

Nice spot! Been awhile since I’ve done car audio, but looking like a must do now. Or I’m just tired of waiting for mine.

Couple questions. What did you end up with for speaker choices in the front? Did you set up the Kicker amp as “Bi-amp” or full spectrum?

Looking forward to your next update for the rear?

Also what are you preferred trim removal tools? I tend to use screw drivers with varying success/damage!
I went back and forth between setting them up as components or doing 4 coaxial speakers and ended up going coaxial for now! It's nice that you can "flash" the programing on the Key pretty easily and then I could reset it up as a bi-amp in the future if I want!

I got the whole system finished last night minus some painting, you'll see what I mean lol, but will put together an update on it here tonight or this weekend.

lastly this is a cheap kit of trim removal tools that came in super handy for this project. Most of the panels you can pull apart with your hands, door trim and kick panel under the steering wheel for example, but it came in handy for some smaller items like the speaker grills on the dash!

Anyone found a speaker harness yet without modifying original wiring?
Its very likely the aftermarket will come up with a "T Harness" eventually, companies like Metra have made ones that plug into the factory head units for years, but it will probably be a while before Bronco is added to their catalog.

Thank you. Going to copy your speaker selection. Because I don't know what I'm doing and you seem to know.

BOOM! Ordered 2 sets of the 400x and 1 set of the 650x. Thanks for the info!
Got these too! Thanks!

The JL Audio speakers sound great, but they are extremely low efficiency and will not drive well off the factory wimpy amp.... They need some power to make them sound good and play decent volume.

An amp will definitely come in the future then as well.
