Question of the day....will the "Sasquatch Package" total cost for 2-door Base and 2-door/4-door Big Bend be changed from $4995 to $7385 to reflect the two other "required options" (4A @ $795 and 10A @ $1595)?

Or....... will the "all in" cost wind up actually being $8980 ($7385 Sas, but only including the 4A) and you have to add another $1595 for the 10A transmission?

Considering their stated plan of eventually offering Sasquatch with the 7MT, it would make sense to price the package independent of the transmission choice.

It was always a hidden charge on Base and BB.

A4x4 comes on WT and Badlands, and is optional on BD and OBX.
Ford took the easy coding way out, and made the top tier price the default.
Then stacked extra costs as you go down trims.

No price change to my base 2-door MT. It’s the base of the base and provides everything I need. It’s wonderful to have MT as an option, ooops, as standard equipment.

All I know is that my Base 4 Door 2.7 Sasquatch builds are still within my mental budget limit. So are my Big Bend 4 Door non-Sasquatch builds. Comes down to this: Do I want big tires and HD gear and a color I'm good with or Do I want a little more comfort and a tow package and the color that I want? Now, there is still the flyer of just going Base 4 Door 2.7 non-Sasquatch and add tires/wheels/heated seats later!

I was waffling around with a base sasquatch, but I'm back on the base base train and building it how I want aftermarket. Would have been really nice if Ford could have offered the locker like on BB, there's no way in hell I'm paying an extra 5k for the B.S to get up to a BB.

I'm in the same dilemma. I was prepared to spend $35K, but willing to stretch to $36K, now it's $37.5K for Squatch and, although still fair for what you get, out of budget. So a $32K Base AT looks good but I really want a locker. So if I add $1000 for bigger tires, $1000 for a locker (if it can be easily done) and maybe another $K for wheels I'm at $35K.

The BB intrigues me, I like the wheels, tires are OK, I can get a 4.27 locker, tint and grill are nice and it opens up A51, the package looks sweet IMHO. But I'm at $37K. I figure you're getting about $3K in value for the $5K the BB costs.

So $35 to $37.5K for what I want....not getting any easier

Not exactly...I posted this a couple of times on other threads, but it's buried now:

Last night when they first changed the price on Basequatch, I logged in and checked my build. The site actually itemized everything as follows:

Original price on Sas = $4,995
+ Wheels and tires $2,390
+ Auto $1,595
= $8,980

The extra $2,390 was the for the wheels and tires - I'm not kidding. They've since removed that line item pricing from the pop-up when you select Sasquatch and just bumped the price up to $7,385 without explaining the increase.

They probably realized charging extra for them looked bad, especially since they've been advertising all along that Sas includes wheels, tires, front and rear lockers, lift, etc. so they just increased the price.

That $2390 is also the cost of the required options: Auto @ $1595 and adv 4x4 @ $795= $2390.
Squatch package is (presently!) described as including wheels/tires:

Squatch @ $4995 plus required options @ $2390 is $7385, not the $8980 B&P is adding.
Sure hope it's double billing for the automatic, that'll keep the price increase to $1595 instead of $3190.

Yup, I read all that too. But when they say they're bumping the price of the Sasquatch up to $7,385, that's exactly what they mean: everything in that package. The 10-speed is not part of the package and they are going to charge us for it in addition to the $7,385. I'll bet you a dollar I'm right. I'd bet more, but my 2-door Basequatch went up almost $4K this week and I just don't have it right now

When I look at the line item options it now shows the 10A there at $1,595 where before it didn't. My options now total $10,559 where before it was $7,369. Supposedly $1,595 was a double charge and will get corrected. When I subtract the $1,595 from the $10,559 (double charge) I get the same number ($8,964) when adding my original options $7,369 + $1,595 the cost of the 10A. ?

So if there is an adjustment coming and the SAS is now going to be $7,395, they're adding the 10A to it. Before the 2dr Base included the 7 sp and the 10A was extra.

Yah man we are in the same boat. I'm a bit torn, maybe the 5k step up to BB isn't that bad to get the ability to add the factory e-locker. I looked into installing an aftermarket locker on the ranger since the rear end is the same I believe. The ring gear is welded to the diff for the non locker rear end. So you are looking at new ring gear and pinion ($250), ring and pinion installation kit($250), ARB locker($1000), air compressor ($300), installation ($500). So aftermarket air locker you are looking at about $2300.

I'm just hoping there's enough room to install a lunchbox locker in these diffs without having to remove the ring gear at this point. If I don't end up saying F the whole deal, I can now only afford to get a Base with no options, and 2 lunchbox lockers. I'm even tempted to just weld the rear. I KNOW I'll be able to get my MIG gun in there for that....
J/K, but this is no longer an affordable overlander. I think I'll end up just continuing to patch up my worn out junk until I can find a totaled Bronco at auction and rebuild it.
