Still have it? Looks awesome!
Yes, still have it. It's just a V-6 but a kick to drive. I'll probably be selling it to pay for the Sasquatch Package on the Bronco. Also will get rid of my LJ Rubicon, I hoping the Bronco will give me the capability of the Rubicon with the fun factor of the Mustang.

So I have been struggling between a Base 2D squatch and a Big Bend 2D non-squatch.

I went to a Chevy dealership last night and there was a pickup with 35 inch tires and it was lifted. Even with the running boards on it, I would struggle to get into it (I am 5ft tall).

Just wondering what the height of the running board would be on a squatch and non-squatch. I may even go down to just a base with 30 inch tires over this.

Thanks.

The base without squatch just looks so wimpy now that I've been staring at the more aggressive concepts and trims for so long. I'm also not a fan of those steelies, they just look "lame". If I didn't squatch the base, I'd definitely swap the wheels and tires right after I left the dealership
I'm pretty sure that's what Ford had in mind. They put the cheapest wheels and tires possible on it so that it HAS wheels and is legal.

I am leaning towards 4dr Badlands 2.7L, but this may sound crazy,,, lately I've started looking at the 2dr Base 2.3L manual with no options for $20k less! It looks great and is a bargain for what you get. The 2.3 should be very quick with those 30" tires and kick the Badlands ass for on road driveability. A 2021 2dr manual gas powered is a future classic and will hold it's value.

Test drove a soft top Gladiator with 32s. Working the top I was glad it had running boards. Beside my inherit cheapness this is one reason I am going dealer installed 32s and not squatch.

You can get tube steps on the Big Bend but they're not an option on the Base. I'm going to get the rock rails on the Base to protect the body temporarily, and replace them with aftermarket bolt-on-frame sliders/steps at some point. In the meantime, I'll just use the grab handles to haul myself up. I'm 5'6", though, so it won't be as much of a problem.

The dealer indicated they could do tube steps on base. I really like the look of the squatch but I just was wondering if it would have the same height as the truck I found. I will go to Jeep dealership and check out their rigs to get an idea.

You'll be able to get them, but it may be a while. As far as I know, no one even makes them yet.

My mom is 5" and I would recommend the base Base for her(nonsquatch) . The base Base is still tall to start with.
I'm 5'9" and i'll be climbing in the basesquatch.
If you start with 30" tires you can always get larger tires later, then switch back if it's too tall.

But it depends, if you are getting the squatch for the lockers, then you can squatch (35") and later get 33" tires, or possibly 32", but I doubt you'll ever get down to 30"

So start with what your needs are, and see what is adaptable from there

This says the squatch only adds 3.2" to ground clearance. Bring a tape measure. You'll probably be more interested in door sill height
