Ok. Thos improved the sound. Ok. What about the pods. I see many buying the pods to hold a 6.5 speaker, does upgrading the 4's in the original pods help? I know the sub supplies bass and the kicks, so is it worth going to 6.5 for the Bar Pods or just do a 4' upgrade?
Unless you're going the full A2B / pre-DSP + amp route ($2k+), then upgrading to the larger pods with 6.5'' on a B&O doesn't get you anything, really. Save the money and order the Focals with plug n play harnesses from Crutchfield and add some killmat / polyfill to the enclosures.

@Draughon : My thanks.

From using Crutchfield listening tool, and from what I have read in many articles and forums, I think I may go with the Hertz speakers.

Hertz DCX 100.3 4" for the front and rear.
Hertz DCX 165.3 6.5 for the kick panels.

I'll start looking for a Bass replacement or maybe if I tighten down and put sound fill, that will be ok. What size is the Bass speaker btw? An 8 or 10? I may have one laying around from my previous cars I can use!

Edit I found it. Heh I may have an 8" in the garage!

I’m gonna pop the panel and killmat that whole area / add fill and see if that helps the stock sound and rattles while I plan for the next sub upgrade.

Just make sure the 8'' fits - some are too "deep" to fit in the enclosure. And look into getting some dynamat / killmat to liberally apply everywhere.

Hmm good point. I need to take a look. I actually believe Dynamat will take care of the rattle.

The B&O sub is 7.75". Some 8" will fit with less modification to the stock enclosure while others may require more. Ragnarkon has a video showing this. Ksjrb03's thread shows that a Kicker CompR 8 fits with less modification than what Ranarkon went with.
