I brought mine into the dealership when my start stop was not working as good as it used to. Bronco was approaching 3 years old at the time and I thought it might be the battery and was hoping to get a replacement. Nope, they tested everything and everything is fine, charging system is charging as it supposed to be. My Bronco sits a lot so dealership said It needed to be driven more to fully charge the battery. I charge the battery on a trickle charger now when it is idle a couple of weeks now and the start stop works fine now. I will point out that when it is very hot out it will not work. So, as already stated there are many factors involved for it to operate or not.

I took delivery of my 2024 Ford Bronco Badlands on Feb. 1, 2024. Up until now everything has worked perfectly on it. Just the other day the auto start/stop feature has begun to act up a bit as the feature is now only functioning intermittently.

I know that many folks on this forum have disabled this auto start/stop feature through various means, but believe it or not I actually like the feature and want the feature to function as designed. Attached are a couple of screen shots of the instrument cluster of my Bronco when the feature is not working.

I connected my Noco Genius 10 battery charger and when it was finished charging the battery was at 12.8V. So I took it out for a good long drive of 35-40 miles or so today around town and the auto start/stop feature was still not working. After running a couple of errands the auto start/stop feature started to function again and then when I got home it stopped working again. I am not sure what would cause this type of intermittent behavior. Perhaps a bad connector somewhere or a faulty computer module or perhaps the battery is defective?

When I got home my battery measured at 12.4V so are my voltage readings normal for this battery? It is sort of ironic that I want this feature to function as designed and I see many threads on this forum where Bronco owners are trying to disable this feature.

Any ideas, otherwise it will be an appointment with a Ford dealership to let them sort it out.

I had a 2018 F-150 Raptor that did the same thing. A/S/S rarely worked in the colder months and I guess it was because the battery was just below what the system wanted to see. Not a fan of A/S/S anyway so I never bothered to take it to the dealership. My 2023 Bronco BD works fine. I've been re-programmed to push the override button everytime I start the vehicle.
