How could stating facts be causing trouble? You ordered a year ago. The top is not in your possession. If a company has a problem with you stating the reality of the situation then they should have done something differently to avoid that.

I was being sarcastic about causing trouble. Also, They were still designing and prototyping the top when I ordered. I knew what I was getting into. I have appreciated all of the updates from social media and from them reaching out personally. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Gotcha. For some reason I thought they were actively selling and delivering tops when I ordered ours. So when they gave me a delivery date of May for my order placed effectively in April, that didn't seem out of line. And really the delays haven't even been an issue for me. But then it seemed like they stopped communicating with customers. Customers that paid in full up front. Not exactly inspiring confidence when that happens and they're still promoting the hell out of the product to bring in more orders.

I hope everyone gets a top timely from the order, I stopped preordering car parts on my last car after getting burned on a $200 part, can’t imagine dropping this much on a top without a solid and trustworthy delivery date. Maybe if they can do that next year I might be interested.

i noticed they have a new disclaimer that the tops block the satellite and GPS antenna. Some folks on the forum have had the same problem with some roof racks and gone with new antennas, anyone have plans to do that here? This thread runs the wire under the MIC top and I’m not sure you could do that with the Armadillo. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/siriusxm-gps-antenna-relocation-replacment.89992/

Per my query in recent post, collecting data in hopes of gaining traction towards a resolution to get YOUR orders filled ("selfishly" so others like me can order with confidence). Obviously, the win for everyone is for Armadillo to succeed.

Bellville, TX 77418 in 2023. This conversation occurred at a BroncBuster portal install. That guy is the dude in the trucker hat delivering bumpers.

Thank you for responses. Starting a new business of this kind is no easy task, especially early on concurrently while in the design phase. SO much care and thought has been put into design, responding to consumer marketplace feedback etc, it's likely one cause of many for delays.

In the end hoping this turns out a great success for all of us and Armadillo!

I’m actively working on solving this. My GPS works no problem but I get no Sirius XM (which I really like). I’m going to drill a hole in mine and relocated the antenna to the top like the picture below.

Good news Everyone! (In my professor's Farnsworth voice):

Fabion messaged me and told me my top is ready, being crated, and will ship this coming week.

Oh happy day! He also informed me I will receive the email this coming week, but he wanted to let me know.

It has been a long journey, but the finish line is right there in front of me now I will try to document the process, and get as much as I can on this process.

I am not the first to receive one via shipping, I do think cammackey received his top and installed it already as he has the Raw Aluminum, or now what they call the sandblasted top. He does extensive photo shooting and is using his Bronco a shoot vehicle.

At any rate, I will either update here or start a new thread as I have a few other things to go on with my top.

If memory serves, @Ninjak received word their top was "complete" on or about November 18. That adds up to 3+ weeks for quality inspection, crating, etc, and maybe more. If you both would be so kind to let us know when you have actual tracking information. Thanks guys, your contributions are appreciated.

It would be really interesting to know if any other members have placed a new order and their promised delivery. There have not been many responses or updates to @mangelo's list and I have not ordered one myself for so many reasons detailed previously.

Along those lines, still hoping to hear from @TheLawnDart about the terms being corrected or any other actionable information. Will Armadillo be transitioning to orders with a fractional deposit or, much more appropriately, COD since they are apparently in production? It would be a nice show of confidence and welcome change that might boost sales substantially, at least +1. Otherwise, the view from the sidelines is good for now.

Well, seems how they originally hit me up the first week of October telling me the top would be ready the following week, I’m not a useful resource on what to expect on inspection, crating, etcetera

But if/when a big box shows up I’ll be certain to update the thread

What you stated is accurate. I received a pic of my top on Nov 18th. The message was it was nearly fully assembled. From the pic it did look like my liner was inside. There was also a box there. I also received messages that it was being inspected from the powder to make sure everything was correct and that it would be assembled completely. Today's information is that the process was completed and now its ready to go out. So about three weeks.

Another fact to add is that I communicated with Fabion to let him know I would be out of the country until the 7th of Dec and if my top was to leave before this date I needed to know. He had stated then, that he did not think it would have been ready that week, but he would let me know. So with the current rate, it seems to take three weeks to complete the inspection process.

Now this may also change as they have brought on more people. So perhaps that will narrow the process down by a week. Perhaps, or perhaps not. If everything holds, I should have my top on Jessabelle before the 20th of Dec.

Thanks for the clarifications. If we are going to pick at nits, I think the dude's name has an "A" (actually 2, 4 if you count his last name) not an "O" in it.

Anyway, you must be excited and deservedly so. Hopefully it will be a white Christmas in FL this year - at least for Jessabelle.
