I've been waiting to hear something about the weight of this top. I'm glad to hear that it's not drastically heavier than the OEM hardtop. I could be in the market for a squareback version.
Will it be available for Canada, Eh?
Also if I get their roof rack, can I take the panels off with the roof rack on?

They plan to sell in Canada once they have a distributer in place! The roof panels I think can come off with the roof rack, but the rack would have to be slid off potentially

The new interior molle panels are very nice. I like the way they did them. I was going to buy the ADD panels because I like the way they went inward, but now Armadillo has done something similar, and I do not have to worry about whether they will fit with the top.
Well, a new update. Along with updating the entire website, Armadillo has dropped the new update and it's go time!

The first time I saw these I thought they were ugly, but now I think they are actually looking quite good. I’m interested in real world reviews once they start delivering which sounds like they are very close. I really like the idea of a metal top and hope they are really much quieter than the OEM hard top. Belleville is only about an hour from where I live so I may take a drive over to look at how they are doing.

The “shell” of the top isn’t really supposed to be removed once installed, just the roof panels (which can be stored in the trunk). I have also asked this question and they said you can take it off and store it and they have done that multiple times, but there is some 3M tape that secures to the front that would have to be undone.

Recent pics of the Square back. Note that after a several of us mentioned the square gull window shape didn’t match the site rendering, and would look better if the back edge matched the rear slant like the rendering, they are going to make that change. With their Slant Back, the back edge of the gull window also matches the slant of the back.

The Slant Back is also in reproduction now and the Square Back should be soon after a little more fine tuning.
Fabian contacted me, and wanted to know if I have any changes for my top, now is the time. I decided to get my top done in white, and I added the external molle panels. I am still getting the slant back.

Awesome, he reached out like that. Are you doing the sound deadening? If so, what color and pattern?
I will be putting in my order for the Square Back soon I think. I’m feeling pretty good about how it turned out and hopefully they’ll post the update of the gull wing soon. It’s expensive, especially with the sound deadening, but appears worth it and they’re close enough I can pick it up. I’ll likely do black powder coat, though they offer a rhino-like coating now, with either tan/black or black/blue sound deadening since I have a WT w/leather.
All their vids on everyone’s feedback on the Slant Back have been excellent. Especially the updates on the updated black hinges, the headroom, weight handling and superior quietness…
