@reechar Ah, dang. That is pretty significant. Did you happen to write them and see if there is anything that can be done? Do you think it will cause an issue during state inspection?

I wrote them and they said thats just the way it's designed.

No idea, about state inspection yet. I'm about 6 months out before having to go through the annual state inspection. Hopefully not an issue, if it is, I still have the stock tail lights stored away. I can also just flip the dip switch, to get rid of the delay just for the inspection.

There are 2 dip switches on these lights.
The second switch is easy, it controls the startup animation. First position for on, and second position for off.

The first switch the two positions are "Halogen Version" and "LED Version". In Halogen mode, both brake and turn signal come on the same wire. There is a delay for some processing to determine if the user is signaling for turn or for brakes. In LED Version, it treats that dual purpose wire on halogens as only brakes. Refer to https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/archaic-tail-light-full-led-install.59837/post-1707226 . So in Halogen version, pin 3 is used for Stop/Turn. In LED version, pin 3 is Stop, pin 5 is turn.

The issue of having a bronco that came with Halogens, is you don't have pin 5. So if you enable LED version, on a Halogen bronco, you don't activate the integrated turn signal lights. When you do signal for turn, it flashes the brakes.

I think if you were to run wires from pins 5 and 6 to the correct pins on the BCM ( C2280E ), and then activate the proper settings in Forscan, you could get this to work with Halogen without delay.. Would love to try this but have spent too much $$ for Bronco Presents already and might be able to get into it sometime next year.

I suspect you're right! But trying to figure that out on my own is above my abilities. If someone else could figure it out and post a tutorial, I'd be very grateful

Any idea what pins are in the BCM and taillight connectors? Or how to determine which ones to use? Mouser electronics will sell most pins in small quantities. Probably $20 or $30 in pins and wire to get it done.

This would also be good for people looking to upgrade to factory LEDs.

Yes, the picture I posted on pg. of this thread has the pin numbers in it for the taillight and the BCM side. if you download the electrical schematics zip that someone posted on Bronco6G, you can find both driver and passenger sides.

Thanks, I’ve found the wiring schematics, but am searching for what part number pins to order. Looks like the Molex part number (33482-3602) is listed in your post for the taillight plugs (attached), do you have that info for the BCM connector? This should help determine which pins to order from Mouser.

It is on C2280E which looks like the topleft-most connector. The top left Blue one in the picture I just took. I am not sure what connector P/N this is.

A longshot, but maybe @flip can help us figure out what connector P/N mates with C2280E on the BCM and from there we can figure out the pins easily.

Awesome! Are you able to hit that "Check for Terminal Part Numbers" button and tell me what they are for pins 26 (18 AWG) and 31 (22 AWG)?

@gringoloco I believe based on this information that for C2280E (this is a hypothesis, it has not been tested yet)
1924955-4 = 18 AWG terminals
1924955-3 = 22 AWG terminals

This was based on some F-150 forums i found and the above information and has yet to be verified.

Last piece of the puzzle is connector 410/411, which I believe to be a Molex MX150 20 pin.

Given this information, we should be able to run wiring from the BCM through factory connections and FORSCAN code the indicator signal.

Both the inside and outside are the MX150. The 20 cavity is standard, don't remember how the outside one is keyed.
