Anyone use the one pedal trail control feature ?

One pedal is really nice on steep uphill rock climbing, prevents the jumping forward and falling backwards since it keeps some pressure on the brakes and locks you in place from going backward like the emergency brake.


Trail control for the cruise control is also nice for long uphill trails with smaller rocks so you don't have to continually speed up and slow down.

I know the one pedal trail control applies the brakes, but does the brake pedal still apply the brakes if you step on it with the one pedal activated? I have not had time to check out the one pedal trail control yet.

Brake is going to apply the brakes always, in any mode.

Hmm reading this and I was thinking “Darn I don’t have this feature and it sounds useful”

But then it dawned on me

7MT - almost always is in one pedal control if you pick the right gear. We just rev higher to do it

We used it in Moab on the shelf road trail (forget the name now!). We went from the top side down, so using it was much easier than constantly riding the brakes, plus less heating up the brakes.

I use it on the beach when my wife is walking along side ...

I stumbled into it when I thought I was using downhill descent control. Cool, but turned it off quickly since trail was getting really steep and it was jerky. Probably due to me not using the pedal well. Definitely a need and will be used.

I’m a big game hunter and like to creep around the hills till I get to a spot where I can glass. As soon as the brakes get dusty they squeak. I use the off road cruise control to set my speed for a quieter approach. Love it. It also allows me to pay attention to my lines or scenery with one less driving input to think about.
