Just over 9,000 on a OBX 2.3l and while on the highway alarms and a message reads "pre-collision assist not available." No biggie, thought when I get home I will wipe off the sensors and give it a run around the neighborhood. Cleaned the sensors, hoped in, backed it out of the driveway and now the check engine light is on. Message on the app simply said, "the engine system has detected a fault" and to service the engine soon. The next day, driving to work the check engine light is still on and now the glowing wrench light comes on and, while I didn't lose power, it began running rough. Message from the app - 'Powertrain malfunction/reduced power" four-wheel drive default AND another engine warning that my turboboost sensor recorded a value out of range. Our local ford dealer (only one) is so back logged they can't look at it until April 13, 2023. If I leave it at the dealer they can get to it sooner but it is a first come, first serve. So now it is sitting at the dealership.

I have a total of 7 malfunction codes that hit within 24hr period effecting the engine, pre-collision sensors, transmission, and 4-wheel drive...I can't believe this many things have gone wrong all at the same time - it has to be sensor related - right?!?!?

An obd2 scanner might help narrow down the malfunction for you to accelerate the repair/diagnosis… but an April turn around is BS

It's Alaska...two Ford dealers (owned by the same group) in a 100 miles radius. I figure it can sit in my driveway until April or sit at the dealership and have a shot of being seen in Feb/Mar. I choose the latter. Love the vehicle - never had an issue with it until now. Hope they can get it sorted out.

Nope, an actual sensor being bad is the least possible. It will be something, a thing, all of those have in common.

Mine goes in in two weeks for pre collision assist/camera not available. 5 week wait. No other alerts. Personally rather it was never there and just have a rear view mirror. Crap you don’t need, is the crap that fails so often.

Continental still has Volvo and Mazda…the Ford dealership is now all Kendall. One in the Valley, one in Fairbanks, and one in Anchorage. Fairbanks is too far away and the two in the bowl are packed - sadly.

Did you wax the sensors or get them wet when you cleaned them? That could've set off all the problems.

No…at least I don’t think I did…the one collision sensor is behind the windshield and the other is lower right on the modular bumper

This reminds me of "Rover Bingo" we used to play at a buddy's dealership.

Most pre-2000's rovers (Land or Range) would have a 4x4 or 5x5 grid of warning lights and we found through trial and error that once you made a "BINGO" by having an entire row of warning lights (horizontal, vertical or diagonally), then the repair would be massively more expensive than if you fixed it just one warning light short of the BINGO.
