I recently installed rain channels on my ‘24 Badlands soft top. These channels fit nicely along the body where the top seals against it. I’m happy that the water doesn’t run down the windows now and get me wet.
Having said that, now when the Bronco is parked and it rains, water is getting inside and leaks around where the trim panels curve towards the windshield top. The added plastic rain channel does not interfere with anything in that area and is very thin. I made sure the factory roof seals aren’t being damaged or stressed in any way.
Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

you may have a capillary effect from a tiny hole; water will suck into tiny holes and actually go up or around to escape.

I see. You might have nailed it. Do have this problem as well? It is odd because the only time it leaks is when it sits. I’ve driven it in the rain all day and nothing.

I was a geotech/environmental driller for a while. It’s crazy what fluids can do, especially under pressure. This is probably the answer

Is there a solution besides taking the rain channels back off?

Might be able to dump some water in them and get in the other side and see if you can see where it’s seeping in. You might be able to use a sealant or a tape in that spot to get water to keep from sitting there

Making sure your channels drain someplace other than the pinhole
I understand. Thanks for your help.

Mine work great. I had to remove and realign them though.

Can you elaborate what happened and how you realigned them?
