Have had AA lock up on me at least once a day since buying the Bronco a year ago. Tried every tip listed here and elsewhere with no apparent effect. Multiple OTA updates provided no relief. Was starting to loose hope that AA will ever be usable. Then the tech at KMF applied "GWM update MT232437 1.10" and poof, no more freezes in 5 days. Issue described in TSB 23-2437.

I did an informal survey here a few months ago and there was no correlation to phone model or Android version. The biggest signal seems to be 12 inch vs 8 inch screen, with significantly more people reporting problems with the latter.

I have a S23U and plenty of people with that phone but 12 inch screens reported no issues.

As a little protip for Android Auto / general infotainment screen crashes and issues. If you hold down the radio's "power button" and the "next track button" (the physical buttons, not the on-screen ones) at the same time for about 3-5 seconds, it will reboot the infotainment center without having to turn the car off and open a door.

Yes that is well known band-aid, which gets really old when you need to do it 5x per day, or when your touchscreen freezes at the most inopportune moment, emgmnehen you are trying to zoom in on a map to see the details of the route. By the time the head unit reboots you have missed your exit.

Was this an AA update from the Google Play store, or was it an update to the Bronco? If it was to the Bronco, do you have to go to a dealership to get it or will it be installed over the air?

Update of the Bronco at the dealer. I did get a freeze again, which is worrisome.

Ever since I got my Samsung S23 ultra, it's had major issues with wireless connections and wired has occasional connectivity issues. After all the research I've done apple carplay seems to be FAR superior to AA and I may step over to the dark side to buy a iPhone, I hate apple's ecosystem and UI but I can't accept this garbage from Samsung any longer.

You could also buy a Pixel.

BTW, I have started getting the same freezes even after the update.

I am using a Pixel 8 Pro and my wife has the 7 Pro. We use both in my WT and her BL without any issues at the moment. However, there was a hiccup a few months ago when Ford pushed an update, but that resolved itself. Waze is my main screen (it's awesome) and I'm also a Level 3 editor.

So, I've been a Nexus>Pixel user after dumping Samsung years ago. I could not get into that Bixby environment they were foisting, and having three similar apps for the same things from android, samsung, and the wireless carrier was so annoying. My former employer had provided me with both Iphone and Samsung at various times and I hated them both. Pixel resolves all of that nonsense.
