I can tell you how I wired a kill switch for my 2022 Challenger Scat Pack. I tapped in the power wire on the push to start with a switch that was hidden. So once the switch was "on" there was no power to the push to start.

You do no want a kill switch to be one of your AUX switched as any car thief worth their salt will try them - not sure they would work since they are powered separately.

Also, MOPAR finally came out with a TSB that locked the RF hub for Scats and Hell Cats so keys could not be cloned.

Why people think a manual transmission offers some sort of security is beyond me. People who steal cars are not "typical" kids who never drove a stick.

These are "car" people", like the kids you see doing burnouts in intersections etc....they can drive stick shifts.

The best theft deterrent I have ever seen is this. Used them in many of my other vehicles over the years. Never an issue. Friends would ask to drive my Stang and would tell them if you can start it you can drive it. They could never find the switch to start it. Have not decided whether to use one on the Bronc or not.

Unless you own a Raptor, I do not see the "regular" broncos being a hot item on the car theft list.

Here's my killswitch in action:



I ended up using the ignition coil fuse and used a regular add-a-tap adapter just to get a 90-degree bend (there's no room vertically for the socket connector). Overally, the wiring is pretty simple. A 20A inline fuse to replace the original fuse, and a 5-pin 20/30 relay. A 4-pin normally open relay won't work because at startup, the aux switches don't get any power until the car starts, and the car can't start without the aux switch being on and sending power to the relay to close the circuit. With a 5 pin relay, you can tap into pin 87a and leave 87 empty; when you flip the aux switch on it opens the circuit and kills the ignition coils.

Here in Canada they are cloning big time.

I think Ford should integrate an OEM kill switch and hood locks etc. Or come up with something to ensure vehicles aren't so easily stolen. Catalytic converters should also be engineered to be only removed up on a hoist. So assholes with saws all don't steal them for a few $ in scrap value. Insurance industry needs to increase the benefits to Clients that have proper anti-theft in place.

Did you ever have any issues with contacts corroding ? Is it water proof ? Looks good. You put it on starter cable I gather !!! 400 Amp switch for cranking current. Wonder how stop /start would be impacted ? Looks like very low resistance !
