Alternative Panic Alarm?

I glued my panic button so I won’t set it off anymore by accident. Somehow I still set it off by accident. Does doing something else with the key fob set it off? The button I glued has no give so I’m fairly certain it’s not the button.

The only thing I can think of is either the key fob has a second way to set it off or there is a glitch.

I did install the perimeter alarm, but when the alarm goes off it’s normally within about 20 seconds after I lock it and before I walk into a store or something. Nothing bumped the car, plus if it was the perimeter alarm it would give a warning anyway.

I have a 2024 OBX.

Not sure, but I changed mine to 2 clicks in Forscan and that fixed it.

Hood latch? Pretty common problem that will set off the alarm.
Listing your model year may help.

24 shouldn’t have the common hood latch issue, but any door ajar issue could be potentially setting off the alarm instead of the fob. May be something you need to bring into your dealer. They can see what set off the alarm.

Bumping this thread. I still can’t figure out why my Bronco alarm goes off after 20 seconds, inconsistently.
I did install a perimeter alarm, but out the setting low. Is there something the Bronco does at 20 seconds when shutting down after locking it that could be triggering this?

Maybe I’ll uninstall the Perimeter alarm and see if it still happens. That’s just a pain since it’s so difficult to install in that tight place.
