Since Google reviews has been quite, I poked around and saw a review on Yelp with a response from ADV today

Patent schmatent. Use panel bond instead of bolts and call it a new design. Does ADV think Mabett gives two shits about patents?

obviously no new news but almost feel like this is a business as usual day with producing some sort of canned response as they did before hand.

Their story would be more believable if they had at any time in the past said that they were being held back by the co-developer of the hardtop. No names were needed. It would be understood that they were in the midst of dealing with it legally. Bonus points if they openly offered to refund those not willing to wait until the matter was resolved.

Instead, they kept giving weird excuses for the delays and never even paused advertising the top. It was always just around the corner.

So, we now know the frame, engine, and transmission are made in US/Canada. You would think those three would total much more than 8% just by themselves. I wonder if they just count every wire, screw, and clip on equal footing as the frame, engine, and body panels? It would be weird, but this the government we are talking about.

These items are “assembled” in the US/Canada from hundreds or maybe thousands of individual parts sourced globally and largely from outside North America.

I think I still saw ads for the top on Facebook until the day that letter was sent. I wonder how many they swindled that do not even visit here

I asked a patent attorney and it takes approx. 18 months from the filing date for an application to be published.
