On the surface, the activity surrounding this top has the classic signs of a ponzi scheme. Except replace the phrase "investors" with "customer deposits." Also, rather than paying a return on investment or delivering actual product, I think they're just rolling customer deposit money (and robbing Peter's deposit to refund Paul's).

I've been watching the activity on this thread for a while now. Had I ponied up the coin and waited this long with nothing to show for the money I spent, I would want to see ADV's financials and get an understanding of what the hell is going on behind the scenes.

2-years without delivering product coupled with all the cash burn associated with operating expenses, R&D costs, additional overhead due to unexpected quality issues, rising interest costs on borrowed money, all in the headwinds of potential economic recession?

If it were me, I would wonder where my money went as a customer. I would wonder if this was a company who appropriately held my funds in reserve while deferring the revenue. I would wonder if the company had other sources of liquidity outside of customer deposits to sustain operations. I would wonder if my funds were misappropriated with management using unearned customer cash to cover liquidity problems driven by the issues above. A little financial transparency from ADV might help ease those concerns.

One thing I've learned in life is that the longer it takes to collect what is due to you, the probability of collection is greatly diminished.

With all that said, I'm not necessarily stating ADV misappropriated funds or is failing for the reasons I cited above. But the reality is that these are real risks and real problems happening in the manufacturing space - right now.

Ultimate risk as a paying customer with no product to show for it, is that a company spent all your money, and you have limited recourse. In a business failure situation, claims to make yourself whole would place you behind a long list of senior creditors who have a priority claim to business assets. $7 grand is no small sum of money to tie up and had I been waiting a year for my top, I would be asking a lot of questions.

Call me shocked, but I'm sort of surprised similar concerns haven't been voiced in the thread already.

With that all said.....

When people finally start to realize they've been had and never see their money again, they're going to end up being the ones feeling like tools.
I hate to say this post aged well but.......

Several pages ago, someone mentioned a “meltdown over on the facebook group page“. Anyone know what facebook group it is? (Is it just Advanced Fiberglass Concepts?). I’m in the mood for more popcorn.
I mentioned it. There are threads like these in all the major FB Bronco groups. These are from Bronco 6th gen.

I'm surprised ya'll (those left hung out to dry) haven't lawyered up for a class action suit. My recommendation for a firm would be Hagens Berman out of Miami. They have a good track record of class action suits against auto manufacturers.

Has ADV been banned as a member? They should be after this scam.

IMG_3313.jpg
Their "Sponsorship" has been revoked which is in effect a Shadow Ban. They are no longer able to post. I'd explain it to you further, but it is Tricky. Whether a Sponsor no longer wants to pay or the site deems they no longer want their sponsorship, that account gets restricted.

Why do you guys keep saying class action? When was the last time you saw a class action suit that benefited the little guy?

Class action vs "put big company name here"
Lawyers get xxx MILLIONS, 1000's of people riding on coat tails get 10 bucks!

Class action ONLY benefits the lawyers. F that!

Oh we got discounts for sure but that’s because of OUR relationship with companies. It was not because of APG. We used OUR wheels, OUR tires sponsored by nitto. We got all the armor and sliders from Next Venture Motorsports who sponsored us for years. Spicer provided the axle set, Baja Designs supplied the lights and that’s again All Due to OUR relationship with these companies and has nothing to do with APG or anyone else’s money so did we receive discounted or free parts, absolutely! But that’s due to our working with these many companies. Was our labor discounted from APG? Absolutely, why wouldn’t it be? We will be the only APG bronco being used and abused and taken to events all over the country. We are a business and have to operate as such but you can ALL be rest assured that no matter what we get for free or discounted we will ALWAYS be real and truthful and forthcoming with any problems, failures or changes that any of these companies or parts have while in use. Weather they are damaged from misuse or fail due to poor design or anything in between. ALL companies we work with are told that we will never lie on video about any parts failure or issues we encounter while testing the products.
This was just clearly bad timing on us having a bronco built but I still wouldn’t change a thing. APG has been absolutely amazing to work with. The products produced have been nothing short or amazing the the craftsmanship is incredible and top notch. When these hard tops are finally available people will be very happy with them. George is a stand up guys and only wants to produce the best possible products from his company. No corners cut and nothing left on the table. We know nothing about the dealings with ADV and APG but they need to work this out and I hope all of you get your products because you will absolutely not be disappointed because even our prototype is an amazing product and the little issues it does have were already addressed and fixed.
If you have anything else to say please just be respectful and kind and I have no problems answering anything you want truthfully but I won’t give time of day to anyone to just bashes or slanders us over baseless accusations.
And for the people who said we’ve done plenty wrong in the past… look in the mirror, I’m sure you aren’t perfect. NOBODY is perfect and nobody makes every decision correctly. We all make bad choices and live and learn.
curious.. IF APG refers sales inquiries to ADV as posted repeatedly here, why when building a Pre-runner (what is a pre-runner?) for you, did they not go to their "partner" and "exclusive distributor" and say we have an opportunity here to put the ADV branded top on the @LiteBrite pre-runner and get more exposure. Seems a bit crafty for APG to have @LiteBrite market this as the "APG Prototype"

Man- I just started reading this thread from the beginning. It’s like watching a movie where the lonesome survivor slowly goes mad over time. Full fledged excitement slowly turning to concern, then questions arise, then anger, and then the realization that believing all the “delayed rubber orders” BS, made in the USA, tops coming soon, etc, etc was all bullcrap. People vehemently defending ADV when someone questioned the 100th delay in shipping. It’ll be worth the wait! I had to stop around page 30. It’s just too much to take in. Just a sad situation.

What happened to their Instagram? It’s either gone or they blocked me, the original OG ADV hater. @advfiberglass
Youre blocked, cause I see it.
