Also, I hope we don't all get a notice that the cargo boat was going unload to but is backlogged due to the bridge collapse.
See, they got shipped to South America first, then put on a pack mule, carried over the southern Alps, put on a speed boat with "chacho" the smuggler, sped to point off the coast of Costa Rica, floated over to Mexico, packed onto ANOTHER pack mule train, who were robbed (natch) by an avocado cartel, helicoptered to a compound in Sinaloa, packed in with some Peruvian white, secreted over the border into Eagle Pass, left in a back alley in Toas, NM, then dropped into a shipping container, where they then went by train to Canada, which then rejected them, they got put on a barge through the Erie canal, ended up in New York, packed into another shipping container, driven by truck to Baltimore, where the Teamsters "lost" the delivery, then found it, then put it on a cargo ship, which then struck a bridge.

I mean, you're only focusing on the wreckage. Look at all they overcame!

And that was...

- 1 year 5 months & 2 days ago, or...
- 17 months ago, or...
- 74 weeks ago, or...
ADV has had your money for 765 days for Day 1 order customers.
Or 2 years, 1 month, 3 days.

The original estimate at time of order was August/September of the same year 2022.
They have now missed that and are 581 days or so late. This is insane at this point.

Each and every delay has no explanation for the faithful. As someone who stayed positive until I cancelled late Oct., I was as dismayed as everyone else when there was not the slightest attempt to keep me as a customer. It should be free shipping at this point for anyone who has waited for over a year (at the very least charge the actual cost and not the 100% mark-up they are charging on shipping).

Curious what the final straw will be for anyone on this forum at least who still has an order.

If it's not the ridiculous price, the value of a hardtop based on age/value of their Bronco, the gratuitous shipping mark-up, the trashy treatment and literal lying to customers, the having to literally install every latch/piece of weather stripping/rubber component/headliner yourself at that price, the unproven injection technology (which was pointed out long ago by someone in the industry that there is a reason nobody uses this process due to delamination and other failures), the warranty that is so limited in duration, the warranty that can be denied for almost any reason (including improper assembly which the customer has to do 100% of themselves!), or the reviews of the previous company that had to rename and become ADV to hide the mess. It's like getting spit in the face and saying thank you may I have another every day.

Oh and what's with the self-installed headliner not covering the rear sides? The highest price point on the market and you get what looks like sanded fiberglass back there? A Leer camper shell topper comes with better insulation already installed🤦‍♂️.

Edit: You do have to give them credit for the diabolical genius of making customers build it themselves and then being able to deny warranty based on this. Respect.

to be followed next week by: "All tops were delivered to a holding facility in Texas on Monday. Unfortunately, they were all stolen during the eclipse".

Armadillo I think is really the highest cost when it's all said and done. And I was really interested in theirs til I saw more and more of it. They originally said Q4 of 23 was their release, they've clearely missed that...and then when I saw who they had invloved I saw more and more reasons to run away from them.

Looking back at some of the old post they had, I think you can see the writing on the wall.

This was a nice way of saying, you can't just pick it up and put it on your Bronco because you have to assemble the thing yourself

That and the $500 cost to install (and that's with the soft top completely removed first) puzzled me at the time, until I saw the instruction video.

It's got to be some foreign business relationship/production issue. Otherwise if a local issue, I don't see why it has not already been resolved with at least some tops shipping out.

Does the two piece front section matter to you? I've got the OEM 2-door hardtop, and unexpectedly the two piece front section has been useful. I can stow both halves in back when going somewhere, if weather is questionable. I'd have to give some thought to losing that capability.
i wanted the 1 piece, but if that dosent happen the 2 piece TOR is fine. I have no plans on taking it off. I need the hard top for my roof rack which has been sitting in my porch for going on three years as well as to mount my rear back up lights.

Giving Ford a run for their money.
Not even close.

Ford and their $100 reservation
Vs
ADV and the $6000 100% upfront pre-pay.

They kicked Fords ass in this contest.

At least Ford sent you an e mail and some merch once and a while.
That would be awesome if they sent everyone a free "ADV Off Rodeo" ticket that expired before the top showed up. Then, everyone figures out it's a car wash "off Rodeo Drive" in LA... 🤐
