I don’t think they are thieves, and I’m sure their intention was to create the best option on the market.
but, they’re in damage-control mode now, and not handling it well.

that is about as perfect of a criteria for a college course as could be be imagined. its unfortunate that a bunch of us are actually caught up in this. i was also as a early order, just told march by adv when i asked.

March 2024? Or do they reserve the right to specify the year at a future date?

The adv top looks very elegant, attention to detail. The problem is dealing with China, outsourcing your product beyond your control point. Companies never seem to learn. At least in Mexico, you can visit easily and have face to face.
And you are not dealing with an adversarial govt

Has nothing to do with China per se. Plenty of companies source there. Their manufacturing base is far more robust than they in the US. Sure, they make a ton of cheap shit, but have demonstrated they are fully capable of top of the line manufacturing.

I am wondering if ADV got scammed by a shady partner in China.

I don’t have a horse in this race but I know one thing for certain about damage control. In the void of factual information people will typically fill it with their own theories and those are often far worse than the truth.

I cancel Nov. 1st. No Questions asked just how do you want your money back. It was in the bank the next day. The funny thing was months before when I was checking on progress they offered my money back.

Looking at the google reviews, the owner of ADV did respond to a bad review that dealt with the hardtop. It does provide a little bit of an update/ explanation so I thought I would share here:

Their issue is not the delays, it is the lack of communication. In my opinion, this is the crux and the core of their issues. The lack of communication is the problem and until they fix this issue, they will continue to have issues.
