Plus almost $2k in your pocket.
The tough part is until someone on here gets either one you can’t really tell the build quality of either for sure. TOR starts shipping or pick-up 1/2 so ADV customers should be able to make a better choice after seeing those on peoples Broncos a few weeks before ADV starts shipping.

On another note…what are we all gonna speculate and bitch about when this finally gets sorted?
I’ve seen a few ADV tops at their HQ in Costa Mesa. Prototypes, but basically the final product. It is certainly higher quality than the MIC, in material and finished look. Real question is how will it perform in regards to durability, sound deadening, temp control, etc. I’m excited to see the Turn off-road top in person when mine is ready mid-January. With Turns experience building Jeep tops, I’m sure they’ll have a product that is of quality and competes well with ADV. Will ADV warrant an extra $2k for their top because of quality? Time will tell and hope to get a good gauge when I lay eyes on the Turn top. I have not seen the Anderson top so I cannot comment there.

Quality is most important to me. I’m not saying I’d spend $30k on a hard top or anything, but ultimately I want a good quality top that’s well built.

Both companies seem to have a good quality top, although time will ultimately tell.
Are you basing this on the brochure, or by people who have actually received their tops.

It was a general comment. I want a quality hard top.

ADV is a joke, don’t send them a dime. They can’t get a single roof made and in the end its Chinese parts veiled as American made.

Can anyone tell me if the OEM hardtop back window glass is flat or curved? Just curious, since Adv showcases their back glass as being curved.

ADV's back glass is curved. Not sure about the MIC top.

It seems all of the aftermarket tops are shooting for Jan release. Armadillo should be shipping out their tops around that timeline as well.

Well, I threw in the towel and went with TOR. It boils down to principle, price justification, and timing.

Principle:
No one can argue that this entire "launch" was handled terribly. I don't think we'll ever know the true reasons why, but even with all of the issues with rubber, labor, etc. the COMMUNICATION could've been handled much better. The speculation of fraud because of the initial deposit and shifting timelines with poor communication were all completely justified (and still are.)

Price Justification:
ADV created this market, and failed to seize on the opportunity they created. Instead, they fumbled a launch, creating competition with those failures and essentially killing their pricing position in the market now because everyone is cheaper and now they have to justify a premium.

Timing:
Like many others on this thread, I waited 1+ years with a full amount deposited down. Before I made this decision, I looked back on the timing of the videos, the promises, etc. It was astounding to think it has been this long, and even though I'd likely get an ADV top a month or so later than a TOR top, it goes back to the principle of it all.

I actually believe that ADV will come through and eventually get these tops out to their customers, and I believe it will be a great product. I also believe that TOR is coming in with a great hardtop solution, perhaps with some advantages in seeing what the competition has done and making it better?

One day, us Bronco owners will be able to order something Bronco related and get it when we think we should get it haha!

Your points are right on the money.
As of today, we were promised we would get updates within 30 days , if not sooner.
I'm hoping they send something out today, but based on their track record , I'm not confident.
All they had to do is send out timely periodic updates, but the silence is deafening.
Hope you get your top soon.
You may get it before me, I'm holding out, I need the 1 piece
