When does it shift from "normal delays" to outright deceit? Is the product being marketed in good faith? Especially to those more recently jumping in the waiting game.
I know what it looks like to me.
At this point, ADV is being dishonest and deceptive in their ads to deliver the tops in 12-16 weeks. Not even 12-16 months is accurate.
Seems like a line is being crossed.
Taken in totality, it is highly suspicious. That, and recently in this thread someone posted what looked like ADV warming the engines on a rebrand of some kind - Glassworks Unlimited 3.0, maybe?
There is simply no way ADV is this unlucky. It is starting to stink of a different odor.
I am super-bummed - and even moreso amazed - how ADV let this get away from them. They had a chance to kick the door in on the market given the lack of options available when this thread began - years ago(!).
Now the market has not only caught up, it has passed them by.
The Delivery Iron...
No tops shipped by ADV. Continued delays. In mid-November 2023, they sent emails with the delivery plan (Batch 1, 2, or 3), and promised updates every 30 days thereafter.
It's been 60+ days since and radio silence.
With so many milestones missed - and not much to restore faith in any kind of timeline - I finally decided to cancel my order. I did receive a full refund, promptly.
Very disappointing.
I have been, and remain, curious about why Beta Testers haven't been posting testimonials. ADV is taking a beating on this thread - a positive review would go miles to helping alleviate concern. Hell *any review* to show it's real.
Why has there so little of that for these last several months...
For me, it's the concern that I'll have waited as long as I have (not as long as others, since I'm in batch 2), bail, and then tracking numbers will be sent out the next day. If I cancel, I pretty much know that will happen.
But I am pretty confident I will if nothing happens in January. At...
I appreciate your post and the details in it. It is the kind of thing that ADV needs to socialize better - that, and more transparency about production delays and sourcing. Also, I think getting more beta testers to provide some testimonials like yours. It's basically been dead air since early...
Right now, it's all a fart in the wind. The latest email promised updates every 30 days; now a new excuse: "because holidays". Yesterday? Today? This week?
It's a really really bad look and may overcome sentiment even if the thing is perfect. This is exactly what you don't do to paying customers.
