With 37s sitting in my driveway NOT jacked up. Fronts are certainly doable with tires on when jacked up. Rears are possible but would be really easy with tires removed.

As you can see I have very little preload dialed in. Have no idea where yours currently is but make sure another inch of height doesn’t go beyond the recommended max preload. My goal is only enough height and reduced preload. I have nothing to gain by making it taller.

eibachs are adjusted with the collar at the bottom. could be done with tires on the car, but I pulled mine off when adjusting and rotated while at it. certainly easier with the tires off tho. The photo above with the icons certainly looks to be doable in the front at least with wheels on.

I have a cordless impact tho which makes it easier too.

If you have concerns over lifting the heavy ass tires and wheels back up, a friend helps, but you can also use second floor jack, or even a 2 x 4

Don't forget Icons have a set screw in the collar. If the shop installed the front shocks with that set screw facing backwards inside the shock tower... then yea those shocks are probably coming off the vehicle to adjust.

You can see the little set screw centered in Kodiaks picture.

Clearance?
Adding lift via the collar adjustment doesn’t really net you any additional clearance.

The body still comes down to the same spot on full compression of the shock, and while the body is lifted nominally, your drive line and lower hanging suspension parts don’t move at all.

That would be about right for a shop to leave the set screw on the rear and not adjust once they are installed to level all the corners.

Clearance?
Clearance in the wheelwells will be the same, you are just changing static height. Unless you put too much preload and lose any articulation.

One area a lift does add clearance, at least on my 2 door, is raising the gas tank up so it drags on less things.

Still, you only want enough lift to accomplish what you are after.

ICON does have a shock (EXP series, stage 1) that needs OEM springs and not a threaded body for height adjustment. If that is the case, then it makes sense for more labor cost (not 1k).

For removing the wheels/tires if needed for adjusting the shocks or rotating the tires get a set of 2 wheel dollys. Makes removing and installing the wheel easier. The yellow ones shown below are mechanical from Harbor Freight, The Blues one is hydraulic from Eastwood. I have two of each, I like the Eastwood version better as the height is easier to adjust. The exact same lifts are sold under various brand names, assume they all come out of the same factory in China. Your back will thank you.
