Can (have?) any of you guys post the final height from ground to top of roof w/ these portals on? (and list size tires you have). I'm in Phoenix and need to maintain 'garageability' ... wondering about some more accurate measurements instead of adding some numbers together and making assumptions.

reference: i'm 4-door '21 badlands non-squatch.
Okay... It is not quite as tall as I guessed....

I am only 87 inches to the top of the antenna....

But I measure pretty much square.

Height to the top of the roof is about 83.5 inch
Ford Bronco 74Weld Bronco Portals now available! height to top 83.5

and the width with 13.5 inch tires... to the outside of the tread is about 84 inches.

Mine has additional lift, so I no longer can get it into my garage or most car washes. I measured at the light bar it was 7'4" I think? Will have to check again, but my garage has a low finished ceiling so I already know its a no go! Here's how barely it fit before the portals!

Well typically if you have an outside dog you build it a kennel...

or for a horse you build a barn...

Do I see a carport in your future???

Carport: well this old house remodel took out the carport and put in a garage… it’s just…. TIIIIGHT.

And your roughly 84x84 measurements…. you’ve built a cube truck lol… perhaps an extruded square.

Sounds about right on the height... Top of my antenna is 87 which is just above my light bar which has a low forward mount.... 7"-3."... And you should be about 2 to 3 inches taller than me.... Your light bar is low mount and looks to be about roof height where I am 6'-11.5"

Yeaaaa.... a 7" garage door is not going to do it.... I am fortunate to have an 8.

My kids tell me I am pretty square.... My pant size is close to square.... They are just barely taller than wide... Is geometry trying to tell me something????

🤷‍♂️ hey, you have a bronco; you’re doin alright sir. 👍
Now back to that father time thing... I am also about 60 pounds lighter than I was in college.... with the same waist.... Getting old sucks when it comes to the body... but I like what it has done for my mind... except for the forgetting shit from time to time. but then maybe I always suffered from that, I can't remember.

Something like that possibly. Next door neighbor has one of those tent/quanset hut type shelters. I have an unused concrete slab adjacent to the driveway where such a shelter could go and not look (terribly) hillbilly! I will have to research those! Long term I would like a permanent structure, but the wallets gonna need a long recharge 1st!

On stock tires, coopers go on and wheel alignment on Friday!!!
Drives great, no Christmas tree!!!!!!!!!!
Rack feels good but different, definitely stiffer and more responsive in a good way. Too early to tell about the suspension.
I did move up the breather tubes from the axles and relocated the intake for the rear portals.

It is up behind the fuel fill so I can now Ford up to the bottoms of the filler door and won't worry about getting in any of the breathers. The rear portals location was way to low in my opinion.
Will take some pics when I get the tires on.

YES!!! and you are telling me that doing it carefully like the instruction tell you to do means no Christmas tree on the first try???? :ROFLMAO:

That was a good move on the breathers. It is a lot of fun dialing in the shocks... I actually mean that. And then you get everybody flashing lights at you in the middle of the day and when they are not flashing lights they are honking and waving.

I bet Bmadda and Bord know what I am talking about.

Definitly looks like you missed leg day on the 35s.... and those are not small, they just look that way on that thing!

You guys are definitely driving objects worth envying. Thanks for supplying the thrills for the rest of us to feed on vicariously. I’ve been following along but have two questions I don’t believe have been answered yet:
1) Are the Ford performance Method wheels a viable option? I’ve seen them pretty agressively discounted over the holidays but whatever I get I’d like to plan ahead for portals.

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007K-M1785G

2) Those Methods aside, would an 18” wheel allow a little more clearance around the portal without jeopardizing protection? I don’t recall anyone offering that as a suggestion or option.

Thanks for any insight anyone can share.

Here's the video where they go into it in depth, and the linked spreadsheet from the video description.

The 703 is on it.

I am super stoked to say, I officially pulled the trigger on the 74 Weld portals and should have them shipped and installed within the month…. I have a 2021 4 door Badlands with Sas. I previously purchased the Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks and some ICON uppers. They are trying to figure out if this will be a doable option, or if I need to go with the fox shocks that are on the Wildtracks for the best performance and set up. I plan on running the 38 inch Nitto trail grapplers with this set up. So excited for this install!!!
