I’ve ExoShielded the windscreen as well. I’ve taken a couple of big pebbles at highway speeds that have taken pieces out of the Exo, but no chips or cracks on the windscreen itself.

It was $500 in Canadian Pesos in Calgary.

If there was a frame flex issue you’d be hearing about a lot more people on their 4th windshield. I’m guessing driver habits of some sort (not saying fault necessarily). Looking at road types, following distances, etc.
Agreed but it does seem strange that he’s had four crack the same way. Seems like rocks would be more random.

Would never have happened if L-O-F (Libbey-Owens-Ford) was the glass supplier, even though Ford in the name was no known relation to Henry

Just out of curiosity, @Rdavis are you still at stock height? Lifted? Leveled? Both? I wonder if leveling alters the overall windshield angle enough from less vertical so rocks can graze off.
2inch lift kit is on my bronco

It's possible to be a flex issue or stress induced because the the frame itself is out of spec in one or more planes. The gaps around the glass are getting smaller for NVH and appearance. We've seen this on vehicles before but it's usually at the corners and the glass was so close to the frame the thermal stresses were enough to crack 'em. This usually happened due to installation error or excessive seam sealer application.

When mine cracked, it went vertical over the course of a few months. Soon after, went all the way across the bottom instantly.
Made a fun noise when it went.

It’s not just Broncos. My F-150 had a new windshield put in with less than 2000 miles. Ford is just using cheap glass on everything these days.

In general, every manufacturer is using glass with a newer formula that is lighter. The downside is they crack and scratch easier. Add in the near vertical orientation of these windshields and it’s bound to happen.

I have 1,100 miles on my WT. Had two rocks hit the windshield so far. No major cracks but it's probably coming. I live in Atlanta and drive on the HWY to and from the airport. I purchased windshield protection with my insurance company to replace the windshield at no cost. Was only $10 more per month. Maybe be a good idea for those that are experiencing this issue.

According to Exoshields website, I have no authorized installers within 150 miles of my house. Anything out there that's comparable?

For those with the exo skeleton, how is night visibility, fogged window or fog environment visibility, and rain/snow visibility?
