I have had my Bronco ~3 months. It lives in a garage. Only about 1000 miles. I used my wipers in steady rain for the first time last night & the blades are skipping across the windshield. 'swoosh' in one direction, 'bap-bap-bap-bap-bap' in the other direction. Is there an easy fix, or do I need to find new wipers? The blades are virtually new.

Try cleaning the wipe blades with water an dawn soap on a microfiber towel and run it down each blade. I've had the same issue and this trick work.

Super Clean the windshield. Then the wipers. Yes this works no you won't scratch the glass.

1 Grab 0000 steel wool and scrub all the outsides of the windows use circular motion

2 Grab the Rain X concentrate and apply it to a folded blue paper towel and apply in a circular motion

3 Repeat step two after the windows hazy
3B Use the paper towel to wipe the wiper blades and clean off the crap on the edge

4 Let dry windows will haze over

5 Grab another blue paper towel and damping it. Go either across each window or up and down, to remove the Rain X

6 Grab a dry blue paper towel go the same direction as step 5 and clean the window again

7 Buff it with a micro fiber towel

For the inside use window shield washer fluid on a blue paper towel and clean the inside of the windows. Go in the opposite direction as you did outside. If you went across then go up and down.

If you have a streak you will be able to tell which side of the glass it is on.

Yes this works I do it about three or four times a year.
